Loved it. After reading the books in their detail, stacks of information and action sequences, I was confident that Fincher wouldn't drop the ball, and he delivered.
Like Abz said, the quick-fire cuts and progression doesn't reflect the pace of the original story, and some characters could have been explored over a bit more time, but to satisfy its depth would run the film a good hour longer. A smart bit of editing that suffers from time constraints.
Craig works well as Blomkvist, and adds a good slice of humanity that I never really got in the books, where he just seemed more of a machine that reacted to events around him.
Mara as Salander: perfect. I initially didn't like the more extreme goth wardrobe, but she wears it well. Just a great casting.
Would've liked a more satisfying punch to The Wennerström Affair. The ending could generally have been better, I suppose. But yeah.

the second and third book have her as the central character.
