I'm really looking forward to this! Fell in love with the musical when my high school put it on.
The casting looks excellent. I wouldn't have suggested Amanda Seyfried for Cosette, but now that I've seen her in the trailer, I can't think of anyone more suited. I just hope she sings well.
I think my only issue will be when they do "One Day More", because there's a certain atmosphere you get when they do it in stage productions that just isn't possible with a screen version.

I'm also looking forward to this one so so much. I know people are going to piss, moan and whine that Anne's voice isn't quite awesome, or that someone else sucks or yaddayaddayadda, and frankly I don't give a sh*t. I'm SO excited that I'm finally going to see it a) on the big screen and b) I'll be able to PURCHASE it - the whole thing! - in the near future so I can watch it whenever I want without spending $75 to become a member of PBS and only seeing it performed by folks standing on stage singing into a microphone. I can't WAIT!

I wouldn't want to work in a movie theater when this comes out because I'll want to rage punch the people mispronouncing it.

I don't quite get the dislike of her, so when I first heard she was going to be Cosette, I liked the idea. But I'm ok with her not doing it, too.

She wasn't going to be Cosette; she was going to be Eponine.
I don't hate Taylor Swift- - honestly I have no feelings at all for her- - but she just does not have the voice to sing Eponine,

Oh, wow! They're releasing the MUSICAL on the big screen now?!?!? YAY! I love the musical! I only got to see it on stage once, but I was completely mesmerized by it. I definitely want to see this!

I think it is actually is an exact reenactment of the musical (as in no dialogue, just straight musical numbers) just with film sets and cinematography |

watched a thing on it where they are recording sound (the singing) as it's preformed rather than lip syncing to play back.
It's going to give the actors so many more choices which ultimately should bake a better movie.

They've released this new trailer and it just makes me more excited. Might be just me, but I think Russel Crowe's voice is going to work. And the movie's Eponine sounds amazing. |

Oh, wow! This is going to be one of the most epic films I've ever seen! You can bet that will be one DVD that I'll be buying right on it's release date, too. But I definitely have to see this when it comes to the theatre. I'll be really mad if I miss it at the theatres.

Where did shark get the info that this is being released on the 14th? It's not being released until Christmas Day. That's just fan-farking-tastic. I was all hyped up to go see this on Saturday. Now I have to wait MORE than two whole weeks because I doubt we'll be going Christmas Day and I work during the week. Thanks a lot, shark.  |
