The book was a bore. Awful and overly politically correct.

Like The Color Purple or Beloved, but somehow worst.

The movie will suck. Queen Latifah is a good fit though..

I couldn't get through the book. As much as I enjoy Queen Latifah, my dislike of the book (not to mention Dakota Fanning) will keep me from seeing this one.

I might want to see this movie. But after bad reviews, I'm not sure if I should. Maybe I'll rent it went it comes out.

^^I heard it got good reviews.....................
And I really enjoyed it. I haven't read the book yet but I'm going to now. Queen Latifah was excellent. In fact, they all were.

Electric- You managed to name three books that I really like! Ha!

Anyway, I really liked this book and I will probably see this movie. I am trying to find someone to go with.

Well, the books are more oriented toward females.

There's always powerful female lead characters, and the males are usually cruel or weak.

I actually quite enjoyed it. I thought it was going to be a lot worse. I really liked the book, but I hadn't read it in a while so that helped me keep a more open mind.

Paul Bettany. He was great even though he was mean and kinda dirty.

I read the book a couple years ago for school, and I actually didn't think it was that bad. I'll probably wait to see this in the dollar theater though, because I'm sure it will be nothing like the book, like most movies.
