This trilogy is kinda wierd. The first movie they used Third stringer villians like Raaz Al Ghoul(I butchered his name i think) and Scarecrow. The second one was great with 2 first stringer villains, Joker and Two face. Though i guess they want to even the villains out in this with Bane a second stringer and Cat-Woman a First stringer

Ras al Ghul is a great villain. Scarecrow, too.

Apparantly Christopher Nolan said that Anne Hathaway as Catwoman is the the one to watch this movie. Apparantly Nolan actually said that her performance could be better than Heath Ledgers Joker

Agreed. Liam Neeson (anything he touches is gold) and Cillian Murphy were great in the first movie

He CAN'T be serious. Based on what I've seen in the trailers, there's no way her performance will come close to topping Ledger!

Now, here's a problem I can say I think I'm going to have with the movie already.

You got Bane causing all these clever and complex terrorist attacks, blowing up bridges and football fields, hijacking planes, causing street wars and trying to cause an uprising against the government.

Now, when I think of Bane, I don't think of any of that. I just think of a big muscly guy on steroids going like "BANE SMASH!"

Now they do say he's a disciple of Ras Al Ghul, but even then, it still doesn't really seem to mesh with me that well.

That's how Bane is in the comics, though. He's the equivalent of Batman. When he 'broke' Batman during KnightFall, he did it by outsmarting Batman and outpowering him. The only media that displays him as a goon was 'Batman and Robin'.

You took Batman and Robin seriously?

What is wrong with you?
6 yrs ago - Saturday 7/7/12 - 8:00:38 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, you should probably read some of the comics, tartarus. Bane is super intelligent.
6 yrs ago - Saturday 7/7/12 - 12:58:33 PM EST (GMT-5)
Hell, you could have just watched the cartoon to know that
6 yrs ago - Saturday 7/7/12 - 4:25:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
Also, the fact he's physically stronger enough to use brute force is really inconsequential because he beat Batman simply because he's among the top martial artists in the world....And as already mentioned super smart.

oh. I see. I didn't quite know that. I knew he was a skilled martial artist and that he broke batman's back, I didn't know he lead such terrorism in the comics as well.

But wasn't Bane kind of a brute like that in the Arkham Asylum games, not just the cartoons and Batman & Robin?
6 yrs ago - Saturday 7/7/12 - 8:19:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
he was intelligent in the games, just completely roided up.
6 yrs ago - Saturday 7/7/12 - 8:42:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah. I know he was intelligent, but we don't see him leading any thugs (still solo), and we don't see him organize any bombings or anything.
6 yrs ago - Saturday 7/7/12 - 8:46:02 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'm not talking about his intelligence; I'm talking about his methods.
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 2:28:51 AM EST (GMT-5)
I don't think Venom (his roid, which is pumped to his helmet by a thingie on his wrist through a straw) is in the flick.
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 11:23:57 AM EST (GMT-5)
What??! You've gotta be kidding me! That's like having Scarecrow without his fear toxin! He doesn't have any roids at all?
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 11:37:25 AM EST (GMT-5)
Sorry... it was just a thought. I was just thinking that they might exclude it because of its orgins (a sh*tty prison in the sh*tty country Bane grew up in)
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 11:38:37 AM EST (GMT-5)
from reading a few comics in which bane is awesome, here's the key things about bane:
he's a big scary muscley guy
but
it turns out that he's also a smart tactician and is as clever as he is strong (and is perfectly capable of leading large groups of people and manipulating all the other supervillians)

things that don't really matter about bane:
stupid madeup drugs that give him hulk strength rarrr
mexican wrestler
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 3:04:32 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, exactly. Bane is dangerous, ironically, for exactly the reasons tartarus has demonstrated. People assume he's just a mindless savage when he's so much more.

The Venom is neither here nor there really. It doesn't matter how he got strong.
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 4:27:34 PM EST (GMT-5)
Hey, here's a question for those who read the comics: Does Bane start out with Venom, or does he get it in later issues?

And when he fights Batman and breaks his back, does he have it then?
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 4:37:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
He starts out with it, he was experimented on in prison.

And yes, he does.
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 4:43:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
There! You see? Because the venom is Bane's trademark!
6 yrs ago - Sunday 7/8/12 - 4:48:06 PM EST (GMT-5)
Not really, it's just a plot point to explain why he's so strong.

It's more like the Joker's origin. Nolan managed to make a completely convincing Joker without ever revealing why he had those scars or why he wore clown paint. He just did, and that's fine.

And Two-Face's origin and look was completely changed.
