I want to see this. SO BAD.
2 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 11/3/16 - 1:22:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
My hope for this is that it runs out to be like magical Indiana Jones with Newt Scamander travelling the world and going on adventures unrelated to each other.

It doesn't need to be another epic saga.

I'll probably watch this eventually just because of Eddie Redmayne.

They're making five movies
Johnny Depp has signed on for the second (possibly more?)
I can't wait
Plus I guess cursed child got the green light

It was alright

Kinda weirdly paced.
Ezra miller was wasted, like they wrote a whole plot about him and then threw half of it out. Johnny depp was really really unneeded. He's too... big. It cheapens it. Like imagine if in sorcerers stone when professor quirrel took off the turban and johnny depp was voldemort. It was a seriously wtf moment in this movie. Id rather have a thanos-type scene where hes like "son of a bitch my plan failed" like hed been pulling all the strings instead of that whole poly juice potion BS

The cgi was really good but obviously made for 3D which i dont think would have been worth it.

The main guy was nice and i liked the muggle

Holding it to hp standards it kinda fails but as its own thing its alright. I dont know that its 6 movies worth of stories but we'll see.

Oh and it was totally "what if harry potter was pokemon"

And i have a problem with how much they apparated. Deus ex apparate

It was ok to watch. It wasn't as great as I have hoped for. As a Potterhead, it was in some ways, disappointing. Though I did like the scene when they are in the suitcase for the first time and you see all the Fantastic Beasts, best scene in the movie which made it more worth it. I am excited the Dumbledore will be in the next one.
Makes me wonder if Johnny Depp will be in any future films as well

Planning to see this on Saturday with friends. This looks really good from the previews. Although the title is what drew me and my one friend in. We call a former friend of ours The Beast. Maybe we'll see her in the movie!

Saw it tonight. Very much enjoyed it!

Quite enjoyable but imho not as great as a majority of critics seems to find it.
Great casting and acting, although I found the characters themselves a bit "flat".
Oh, and in regard to colas's and Ho99o9's
I would be surprised if Grindelwald was not to appear in any of the follow ups.

BTW (@cola), Ezra Miller:
according to imdb Miller will starr as Credence Barebone again in part 2 of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Of course Grindelwald will end up being the focus of the series. Don't be so thick as to think Rowling and WB won't suck that honeypot dry

Loved it, went in expecting it to be completely different from the HP films so I wasn't disappointed. A bit slow in parts, yes, but overall, I enjoyed it very much. Can't wait for the next 4!

i like it!

i just got around to watching this movie
i've always been kinda worried about it
something always just seemed a bit off to me

after watching it i'm feeling zero excitement for the continuation of these particular movies
the entire thing was just boring? i guess

and had weird plot things
like sure grindelwald changed into colin farell, but kept the same exact hairdo?
it's like hitler shaving his head but keeping his mustache

and why the f-ck wasn't he using the elder wand?
i can understand keeping it out of sight while you are still disguised, but once the jig was up you should absolutely whip that bad boy out

i had other issues from earlier events in the movie, but i can't recall them right at this moment
2 yrs ago - Saturday 4/1/17 - 11:43:33 PM EST (GMT-5)
oh wait, i just remembered the other thing
that stupid f-cking obliviating rain

obliviate works on every person whether they be magical or be muggle
but somehow all those wizards are just strolling through it like it's not the most powerful obliviation spell out there

that was probably the worst part of the movie
with probably calling normals no-maj coming in third
please just keep everything unified
2 yrs ago - Wednesday 4/12/17 - 12:48:04 PM EST (GMT-5)
Why would everything be universal?
Just about nothing irl is universal
