terrific. fun concept, brilliantly paced, and real creepy in an engaging, atmospheric way. movies like this, Spring, You're Next, Resolution, and even VHS are really helping to reimagine today's horror. love it

Thanks for reminding me.

i wasn't terribly impressed, it was eerie and all but you could tell it was very low budget
also i couldn't get over the fact that it was a physical manifestation of an STD

I finally watched it. I thought it was great. It's nice to see something different from zombies, vampires and serial killers.
I don't get why they didn't just move to Europe though. If it can only walk it would take forever to get there.

yeah that's what I always thought. If it only walks it's pretty easy to keep ahead of it.
Still liked the movie, though.

it moves in somewhat mysterious ways and it isn't clear just how smart it is. the director has stated that it could potentially board a plane

Well they explicitly mention that it is intelligent and given the way it avoided the pool at the end you can see it's true. So I figure it would have no problem boarding boats and planes since no one else could see it anyway. I still think if they carefully monitored it and moved the target from place to place around the world that it would be rendered impotent. But that would require a lot of people accepting it as real.

Oh and It is death. It's smartish but has no need to be too smart, because it's going to win, and it knows it. We're talking 100% track record here.
Also, the bearded dude at the pool? That's her father.
He killed himself. Their mother drinks (and is only shown drinking) because she can't really deal with that fact. Our hero refused to tell her sister who it was that was beaming her in the head because it was a figure she knew, and a figure her sister only dreamed about.
At the end was the dude in the background "following" them? Dun dun dunnnnn. Eh doesn't matter. Death gets them all.
Artsy films are fun. Hurray for second viewings.

Truly, an awful film.
Pretentious, poorly acted, badly written and worst of all, boring.

I actually really liked this film. I get why people don't, but I like the concept of it, something, always coming, never stopping, it can be no one or it could be a nightmare image of a person.
The catching it with sex thing was crap. Changing that part of the story might have made it more appealing to a wider audience.
