I disagree. I think for a movie like this, having diverging storylines to follow worked well, even when some of them didn't have definitive "endings" as in the case of the woman kidnapped in China.
It did annoy me that the virus never got an official nickname "birdflu", "superflu", "captain trips", etc.
Also, I'm not sure how believable or well represented the spread was in days 31-vaccination. Still, I enjoyed it and it wasn't nearly as terrifying as people had led me to believe.
(Further, I don't believe that 'touching your face 3-5 times each waking minute thing')
