Comes out today here, going to see it. F*ck yeah.

Great visuals, but a very standard storyline.* Still, Chris Hemsworth is pretty hot, so all is good.

Hero gets cocky, hero loses his mojo, hero finds the girl and some humility, hero gets mojo back - type thing.

Hero always was cocky. Hero is still arrogant and cocky.

The film was never intended to establish a new franchise. Just an introduction to the character pre-Avengers. I would find a sequel to this difficult to digest, but it was a worthy attempt. Welcome back Kenneth Branagh.

Mjholnir is awesome!
7 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Wednesday 5/4/11 - 12:41:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
It was an awesome movie! I was able to catch it just over the weekend and I was glued to the screen for the whole first hour of the movie. Not that I let my eyes wander around but I did not have the time to look at how people were because the movie was so packed and intense. I really liked the part where Thor placed the Hammer over Loki. Such a classic.

I loved it, great introduction for the character. Also the design for the rainbow bridge was brilliant.
7 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Monday 5/9/11 - 12:53:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
I would rather have seen the rainbow bridge look more like a rainbow. Like it does in the comics.

In the movie, it just looks like a crystal bridge.

That would have looked so cheesy.

I'm with Kraken, It would have looked way to goofy like that.

Yeah, that looks like a runway for a wealthy drag queen, not an inter-dimensional portal.

It reminds me of that racetrack in Mario Kart.

Ok flick...a little goofier than I liked. A little slow, but entertaining.
7 yrs ago - Thursday 5/26/11 - 4:27:23 AM EST (GMT-5)
I saw this movie today and was surprised by how much I liked it. I love this movie.

The plot was very good and was easy to follow. The cast was extremely likeable. I even liked Natalie Portman in it, and I'm not a Natalie Portman fan.

It was a little heavy on the special effects, a bit too "modern" when Loki descended to Earth as that fire-breathing robot thing. Otherwise I found it pleasing to the eye. I really liked the crystal rainbow bridge and the way Asgard looked.

I *would* consider buying this movie.

That robot wasn't Loki.

Well, not *him*, but wasn't he inside it, running it?
7 yrs ago - Friday 5/27/11 - 12:38:52 AM EST (GMT-5)
He wasn't inside it, he was remote controlling it through magic/technologeez
7 yrs ago - Friday 5/27/11 - 12:39:40 AM EST (GMT-5)
neither of those

it's the Destroyer and (in the movie anyway) did whatever it was commanded
not really remote control

but this conversation is proof that they could have done a better job of explaining that part to the non-comic book fans
7 yrs ago - Friday 5/27/11 - 1:46:22 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, I don't read comics.

I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the fight scene near the end, to be fair.
7 yrs ago - Friday 6/17/11 - 11:52:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
If this movie didn't have Natalie Portman and the "love story" between them, I would've really liked this movie more. Besides that, pretty epic with the effects. Especially the gatekeeper (Elba). God, he was awesome. HE needs a movie. Srsly.
7 yrs ago - Saturday 6/18/11 - 8:46:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
i liked this movie allot but the costumes could have been more realistic looking and not look like plastic

Just watched it, found it a bit rubbish. Laughed at the absurdity a lot...
