I love this movie. It is very sad... but very moving. I've read the book, which was hard to get through, and this film really boiled it down to what you should know about the beginning of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Heh...posted this a month after I joined YT - long before I was the movie mod. I'm pretty sure it's a made-for-TV film. Don't let crazy Kiki see this - she'll pop a vein.
Great film, though.

Saw this in biology class. I just remember that the "poppers", the drugs they took at the bath house, I had taken that year.

It is a made-for-TV movie. I bumped the thread when I posted the link in the TV forum.

I've tried to find the DVD. Is it available out there? A friend of mine once mentioned this movie. He said it always made him cry. I guess it would hit home with him though, because he has AIDS himself.

I finally was able to see this. I got it sent to me thru Netflix. It was good. I didn't get as emotional as my one friend does when he sees it, but the end did make me tear up a little bit.
