A friend of mine said the hiding spot and Bo's escape are all explained in the script, but JJ Abrams, in all his wisdom, decided to cut it out of the movie.

They were definitely explained in the film that I just saw. And China is much more likely to cut things out than put them in.....

For all those complaining about a certain character suddenly having skills with no training, I'll point out Luke went from moisture farmer's teenage nephew to ace xwing pilot the first time he sat his arse in the cockpit.

Just enjoy the movie for what it is.

I watched this and I gotta say, it renewed my interest in rewatching the other movies again. Which is HUGE, considering I wasn't interested at all before. And I'll probably make sure to see Rogue One when it comes out in theaters, where I didn't care if I saw this new one in theaters before. Made little to no effort, tbh. Now I wish I would have.

Finally saw it.
F-cking snoozefest.

If that's how you feel definitely do not watch Rogue One.

I was told the opposite.

Snoozefest because there is zero depth in the movie and too many non sense. It doesn't breathe at all so you don't get to care for the characters.
Plus, like I said, the plot makes no sense.

Yeah definitely dont watch rogue one then

Rogue One was ten times better than the Force Awakens.

i wouldn't say ten times better, but i definitely enjoyed it more
i liked them both tbh though, even if they are both flawed

The Force Awakens had awkward moments, plot holes, things that didn't make sense, things that were predictable, etc.

Rogue One was more thought out and more exciting. It also had nice little surprises. Better graphics too.

Rogue One was definitely the weaker film imo.

The characters were just so flat and aside from the robot and the monk they were either assholes, boring or boring assholes. Whitaker was absolutely wasted and it was obvious his role was cut in the reshoots. The story itself was a boring answer to a question that really didn't need to be answered.

It just felt like a hollow movie, like there was no creative energy behind it.

I just bought both the Force Awakens and Rogue One. I will say watching the Force Awakens was more enjoyable the second time around. I still say Rogue One was better though.
