As to the amount of plastic found:
I would imagine that the belly expands as more and more debris is stuck. Some items could have passed down the colon but would eventually get stuck when a piece that is too large would block the movement.
The organs would likely have decomposed by the time of the pics, or have been eaten by a scavenger animal. |
