You look for me on here next year. My sis says she's going to try get me and my friends a Darwin award, because next month we're gonna buy an ounce of weed and try topping the bowls with midol, icy hot, and any other stupid stuff we can think of.

I stopped after reading seven or eight. Those are violent! They should document more harmless stupidity; when they die, the premise somehow becomes less funny.

My sis says she's going to try get me and my friends a Darwin award, because next month we're gonna buy an ounce of weed and try topping the bowls with midol, icy hot, and any other stupid stuff we can think of.- You can't smoke a pill or a gel...That alone proves you have the necessary IQ for a Darwin. Secondly, you'd be better of just ODing on the Midol, the weed really doesn't add any deadly affects. (To OD on weed, it takes almost 40,000 times more than you need to get high.) Seeing how back in my pothead days, ie a little over a month ago, by the end of the day I would have smoked upmost an ounce by myself...you're going to need a lot more than that between a few people to kill yourself. Good luck, though. We're all rootin for you.

I shrugged SO bad when reading about the ball-cutting. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity!

I still have trouble beleiving some of these. There are small inconsistancies that bug me. For instance, one of the stories mentions a man drinking in Hanoi in 2005. It hasn't been called Hanoi since 1974, it's been Ho Chi Min City since the end of the war. Smells like the back end of the bull to me.

I just raed through the list. These things read like some hokey Readers Digest article. No proof is given to confirm any of these. Back to the bull I guess.

So how exactly can you clean a chimney with a chain, a brush, and a grenade? I don't get it.

I like how all the readers comments are just evil little puns. :D Osprey39 - I think he'd use the gernade as a weight to drop the brush through the chimney.

for the guy cutting off his jewels the reason he can be included is because he can't procreate so his genes are no longer within the gene pool. Thus making the human race potentially that much better.

I love laughing at all sorts of funny ways people find to kill themselves. It's especially funny when they blow their brains out of their skulls.

I enjoy the Darwin Awards, I really do. To those who spot problems with a story, report it. They investigate these things. Like the NATO story was moved from a winner to an urban legend. What I don't like about this is that they made a movie out of it. In news report form I can't get emotionally involved with the potential award winner, but if I put a face with the idiot... I wouldn't be able to live with myself for laughing.

"They should document more harmless stupidity; when they die, the premise somehow becomes less funny." No, see...these are the DARWIN awards, named after Charles Darwin, who is famous for... Y'know what? Forget it.

Most of those stories I actually find more sad and pathetic rather than funny.
