it's weird because the chart is based on a 50/50 chance, but in nature females are more common for all species. i think it's like a 52/48 chance in favor of females.

15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/9/05 - 7:32:58 AM EST (GMT-5)
Sigh. Just the month and its supposed to be true for people of the same age?? What a silly chart. I have male and female friends born on the same month and are the same age as me!

If it was according to birth time then i might believe it.

yeah your FRIENDS are the same age, but their MOTHERS probably arent the same age.
15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/9/05 - 8:20:24 AM EST (GMT-5)
i'm amazed at its accuracy even if it's not 100%

well, it got me right, but, ok, it says it was "buried in a tomb for over 700 years" or something like that... ok, and the youngest possible age for a mother on this calendar is 18, unless i am missing something... weren't people marrying and having kids at ages much younger than 18 over 700 years ago? the "legal at 18" thing is kind of a modern development... just my thoughts...
15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/9/05 - 11:32:24 AM EST (GMT-5)
got me wrong as well
15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/9/05 - 11:44:44 AM EST (GMT-5)

15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/9/05 - 12:31:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
assimilate, it IS probably adjusted for modern times as far as the age of the mother goes
15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/9/05 - 12:44:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
^gizmo331 is correct. The one I use starts at age 6 and is more detailed. This is just a simplified modern one.

15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/9/05 - 7:37:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
^ Not to be crude, but I believe we all know the old saying......Old enough to....old enough to breed. My grandparents were married when she was 8 and he was 17. It was a long time ago and a whole other culture. I got my chart from her and she recieved it from her mum. It is a major part of Chinese culture. They always wanted to know if they were going to have a boy. If not and they had already giving birth to a girl, they usually had the town midwife terminate the prego. Sorry, I know this is kind of off subject, but this is why this chart was so important back then.

I think some of you might be reading wrong.
Take the age of your mom when you were conceived and the month of your conception.

THAT WAS iNTERESTiNG.

jliu, no that's alright. it's just that in my understanding, a girl conceiving at age TEN is extremely rare. judging from that base, it just seems odd to me that the chart would start at age 6.

^ statistically females in the U.S. were behind most other country in the age that they began their period. That was untill 13 years ago. Now the age is dropping again. There are two schools of though on the subject. One being that in part the girls bring it on mentally because of the social pressure, i.e to grow up faster mentally so their bodies are trying to catch up. The other is the chemicals that they are exposed to through food, medicine, aerial, are for lack of a better word, ripening them faster. Effecting their bodies chemically. So, point is age means nothing to an extent. Taking the 1st rule of thought if someone were married and had sex at age 7 then......
Personally I know quite a few womyn who started their period before they were 10. 6 is a strech but not that much.
