So... this morning at 4:11 I heard a shrill alarm. Right before I had gone to bed, I had read my next week's assignment for computer programming. It was to design an alarm clock. So when I heard the alarm, I was happy for about 30 seconds... I thought I had designed the alarm clock and it was working. I groped all over my nightstand to try to find it and turn it off. Then I realized, wow, it is 4:11 and that is the fire alarm. I followed procedure, grabbed my keys, locked my door, grabbed a sweatshirt and shoes, and ran down the 9 flights of stairs. ( I don't remember that part. But I must have done it.) I remember being at the bottom of the stairs and having to put on my shoes and sweater because it was raining. So the inhabitants of my 10 story building were all standing out front, waiting to see flames (as my friend said, if he's gonna be up, there had better be a real fire.) We waited out there for half an hour, sleep and in our pajamas and such.

Motivate me? - Mood:Good

I had a midterm this morning, a midterm on Monday, work all day yesterday, and I'm drained. And now I have until 3:30 (2.5 hours) to finish a paper.... write 4 more paragraphs and completely revise the rest of it. And all I want to do is sit here and waste time on the Internet. This is the problem. They should not put a university in the most beautiful city (ok, top 5) in all of California and have rooms with ocean views and expect kids to want to stay inside and work. How has your morning been?

I swear I just heard a murder - Mood:Hysterical

I am sitting in my dorm room Down below, I hear two males conversing And then one says, really scarily, in a low voice, "Haven't you ever heard of having fun, dude?" And then there was this super loud sound. I was thinking "Holy crap, that sounded like a gunshot." And then about a minute later, some guys are like, "Dude, Richard, put down the shotgun." And then I heard fragments of talking that were like, "Dude, get down, put your hands on the ground, drop it etc." But it sounded surreal because everything was really calm sounding. Like people were playing. But I swear that was a gunshot sound. And no one is around in my hallway that would have heard it and I'm shaking and I don't know what to do. Because if something really did happen, there would be hundreds of witnesses that heard it (it was in between an 11 story and a 6 story dorm)... and there is no commotion outside.
