| | CUSTER — A Ferndale teen died after being hit by a tow truck while walking down the center of Zell Road Friday night, according to the State Patrol. Landon S. Harless, 14, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Friday night, according to the State Patrol. He passed away over the weekend. About 8:30 p.m., Harless was walking north in the 7000 block of Zell Road near the center line of the road when he was hit from behind by a flatbed tow truck, according to the State Patrol. The driver of the truck, John C. Rideout, 47, of Ferndale was not injured.
