God what a f*cking useless weekend - Mood:Overwhelmed

We have some stupid promotional event for the radio station in a few hours, and as of right now, I'm the only one who can man the table. We were supposed to have 6 people there. Suddenly nobody can make it. The excuses: -One girl had someone covering for her shift at her other job, but suddenly her replacement went into labor 2 months early. -One girl had someone covering her shift at her other job, but they suddenly couldn't because she wanted to get her tits pierced tonight. -Two staff members forgot and jumped town -One staff member said she can make it, but can't stay late because she "has some things she really needs from Target." This is all on me now, and I have to leave early to go to my other job. And the kicker: My grandma died last night. I want to rub that in the faces of all these people who let me down so bad, but I won't.

As if we needed another back to school journal on here... - Mood:Good

I start up again on Monday. It's just another day to me at this point. I had summer classes and two jobs, so it's not much different. The only thing that keeps reminding me is seeing a bunch of freshmen (who look like they're fresh off of the playground) migrating in awkward packs to the bars. This semester is going to be challenging for me. But I'm not worried about the classes like I should be. Instead, I'm really just worried about Monday's staff meeting. I'm psyching myself out about it, because I have this big idea in my head that I need to establish so much at my first meeting, and if I f*ck it up, the whole year will go bad. Any happy 5 years on YT to me. It scares me to think i was a senior in high school when I first came here. I feel old.
