Gojira are a French death metal band. Thay care about the environment and have some songs based on the environment (Global Warming, Embrace The World, etc.). I've always loved the vocals and the guitarists are pretty awesome too.

if you compare them to, say, Death, Morbid Angel, Immolation, Suffocation, Nihilist, Possessed, Carcass, or Obituary they kinda suck chode. |

I agree, they forgot to speak with the board of directors about a more proper name to follow the themes of bands that barely sound like them. |
