Sound is somewhat catchy. I don't really like it that much though. The guy's voice is kind of annoying.

The Script - Break Even
1 yr ago - Sunday 4/29/12 - 12:45:55 AM EST (GMT-5)
pretty catchy, but at the same time completely forgettable. bland, uninspired, other negative adjectives along the same line. not the worst or anything, just nothing special about it. i enjoy the sentiment i guess

that's a powerful f-cking song. i'm not really a huge fan of rap, but that was good.

Gnarls Barkley - Smiley Faces

I have been getting into Cee-Lo Green and everything he's done. i'm especially digging Gnarls Barkley.

Definitely not something I'd listen to twice. To each their own.

Breathe - Sienna Skies
1 yr ago - Tuesday 5/8/12 - 6:16:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
Wow, really just kinda goes for it with an abrasive acoustic guitar and whiney annoying vocals. Nothing really overly remarkable about this song, I'm sure the lyrics are wonderful but the abrasiveness of the song detracts from my enjoyment of any lyrical quality. Not that it seems to be overly imaginative. Yea, definitely not my thing, sounds like the stuff on the radio I never listen to. Does do the anthematic thing well on the bridge/vamp though. I could definitely see how this band would be popular, even if I don't care for them.

Frank Zappa- I have been in you

I can't tell whether I've feeling 60's or 70's.

No, I'm sure of 70's. The music is terrible.

Take this link here.

I love the fact that the first line is that he lost his money in Ra-cha-cha.

I liked it! Catchy little tune. I'm usually not into that type of sound but that was an upbeat song that I genuinely enjoyed. Good post.

Panda Bear - Take Pills
1 yr ago - Wednesday 5/16/12 - 10:17:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
I like Panda Bear a lot. I'm a big Animal Collective fan so any solo projects these guys do I like to check out. This song starts out slow but I feel builds into something really catchy. I like it.

Please ignore my drunken incoherence.

Anyways, I really like Limbeck because they're Country Music, without the "Country Music Voice" and the annoying lyrics.

Skine, that's exactly how I felt when I heard it. Definitely had a country vibe to it but didn't have that country singer voice (thank god). Skip me as well.

@habs:

Not a fan of rap at all. The video is f*cking odd.

Though, as compared to most rap songs, this is relatable to a middle-class white male.

I'll give two options for the next person:

Pedo the Lion - Bad Things to Such Good People or Limbeck - Names for Dogs.

Pedo the lion? I thought it was Pedo the bear.
1 yr ago - Sunday 5/20/12 - 2:44:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
For Names for Dogs- Nice. I like it. It's nice to hear a good country song once in a while. I'm a slight fan of the genre.

Gary Jules - Mad World
1 yr ago - Monday 5/21/12 - 12:58:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
Such a good song. I sometimes get goosebumps when I listen to mad world. I always think of Donnie Darko when I listen to it though haha.

Craft Spells - After the Moment
1 yr ago - Monday 5/21/12 - 1:09:44 AM EST (GMT-5)
it's an alright tune, but I think it repeats the refrain too many times. Grimes-Oblivion

Funny, my friend just recommended this band to me the other day, so I figure I might as well give it a listen.

So far, I like the vocals, but the repetitive 80's synth thing is getting on my nerves. I probably wouldn't notice it though if I weren't "listening" to the song.

The vocals remind me of Blonde Redhead. Similar pitchy girl. Overall it's a very fun song, I could see myself getting mildly drunk and letting my hair down and dancing in a dark bar somewhere to this song.

This weird dark change in the sound around 2:40 is kinda cool. I like it.

Oh sh*t. I didn't even see this. Dammit! I'll find a new song hold on:

liturgy - generation

You have a very interesting taste in music J2. I quite enjoy it.
This song was pretty awesome. Very high energy and aggressive. Impressive that they kept it up for 7 minutes. Good stuff.

Bubblemath- Your disease is nicer

The Elements on the album cover(?) was really neat, and the guitar was really good. Other than that, nothing really stuck out at me.

FLOBOTS- Combat.
Some language.

The background percussion/vocals are louder than the main lyrics, then LYNDA RONSTADT. I can understand if the vocals are covered by the music because the music is at least as good as the vocals, but there's no reason a loop should take precedence in a song like this.

MalagueƱa - Ernesto Lecuona (performed by Michael Lucarelli)
11 months ago - Saturday 5/26/12 - 8:33:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
Interesting. Seems like a good song for a movie soundtrack, perhaps during a driving or chase scene or something. It seems like a good song I would listen to if I were writing something, and needed to pick up the pace a little.

Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me
11 months ago - Saturday 5/26/12 - 8:38:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
what a terrible song. A lot of bitching and moaning about a boy doesn't wanna be with her. I can guess why, too, and it has to do with something I already mentioned. To top it off, it's accompanied by mediocre instrumentals and zero soul.
Now this is passion in music. Boccherini's Fandango in d minor. Try not to cream your jeans.
