I'm reading this for school, but I'm having a little trouble getting into the story. I've seen the movie, and it was fair, but the book is a bit duller than the movie. Has anyone else read this book? Did you like it?

"the book is a bit duller than the movie" No, no, no, no, no, no. No, it's not. "Did you like it?" Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Yes, it's possibly my favourite book... ever....

I loved the book and don't recall finding it dull; however, we did read it after A Farewell to Arms, and I hated Hemingway's style. I may just have been glad to get back to a style I enjoyed more.

I hated this book, although I did prefer it to the movie. There was nothing interesting about either the book or the movie.

i liked it. the book was better than the movie simply for fitxgerald's lyrical prose. beautiful language in some parts, although young robert redford wasn't too difficult to look at....

keep reading, you'll probably find that the book gets less dull.

I do love this book, it's the quintessential book from my favorite era. The symbols are great, the characters are amazing, the party scene is hilarious. Remember when that guy is drunk and the wheel falls off his car, and someone says "Your wheel fell off!" and he looks up. Oh, funny.

I hated Daisy once. Then I liked her. Then I changed my mind. Then I changed it back. I'm undecided right now. I think I'd like to like her, just to be different, but in the end, I don't. I like Jordan best. She's like a breath of Fresh Air.

ya Jordans alright. i like Gatsby the most, he has a lot of negative aspects to him, but everything he did he did out of his love for Daisy

I can't stand Gatsby. Well, I can stand him. But I'd like to bop him on the head.
