seasonal things happening at work. transitioning period for new projects. in the short term things may be slower for a period. in the long term there will be more geometry equations to ponder.

it's a small company with a good reputation. but the importance of willingness to adapt is crucial. it is far from a day in day out work environment. which is really good for me actually. the company is adapting all the time and the employees have to also be willing to adapt.

and now i'm scared. is this proprietary information? my little brother told me a story about a guy who had an algorithm for a hedge fund that he tried to take when he left a company. the company is doing some ridiculous stunt where they're trying him privately. i just looked it up and i guess he was finally just deported.

i posted an excel spreadsheet on here once. from my first job out of school. did they know?

i was going back through my old journals and realized that while i was doing that process engineering contract work i started posting here again on the weekends. i don't really recall that. i remembered it as happening before i started that job. i mean i remember posting a few things, but i posted quite a bit while i was there.

it's weird. i wonder sometimes the proliferation of things like this in a corporate sense. i don't know if the anonymity is really complete here. i mean. i know electric posted my full name on some other website talking about me posting here. algorithms might be able to find me.

but work is plodding ever forward. it makes sense that my work threw so much at me over those first few months. it was kind of intense but it was really useful on the job training which is really hard to find these days.

i guess no one else posts work stuff. so no other opinions...

I posted about my big tip the other day.
That was pretty neat

But you’re working with people. I’m basically trapped in a room working with proprietary information. I can only say so much.

I like ever changing work environments. The challenge but also the interest. You can't get bored.
Boredom is a killer and it breeds laziness i find.

There is no anon on the Internet, everyone figures you out eventually, but this place is a bit more hidden than most.

Work talk I think depends on how well you advertising like your colleagues and how much it interferes worth doing your job. I'm a talker but understand and respect when others aren't and won't try to engage them that much if they obviously aren't.

Holy moly that’s a lot of typos.

That’s interesting that you say that, though. Because I was saying work talk on here. Like because one, people probably don’t want to hear it, and two, I’m working with intellectual property.

But my last job... I don’t like excessive work talk. It was work stage performance at this place. I’m sorry ladies. Especially those quiet reserved ladies. But y’all bitches love jawin’.

All old ladies all yelling all the time. A few times there was a... giddy up... cat fight.

I was allowed to wear headphones and I warmed up to it but it was incessant and I hated it. It drove me to drink.

HA! i totally read that wrong.
Was your typo comment at me? You kinda get used to my inabilty to even remotely try to spell.

I think birdsong may have a permanent eye twitch though da size she's a grammar nazi.

Unless you actually manage to say enough that it could be identified you'll be sweet, i just spent two years being governed by really strict laws around that.

i almost wish there were more laws around it. i signed a non-disclosure agreement but that was written by the company and basically means that if you snitch we will f*cking find you. or that's how i read it. kind of a boogeyman around trade secrets i think. i see it as a meeting of various software literate people, but it seems more like feigned hierarchy and posturing. a willingness to pretend to be distinguished seems valued.

i don't know.

i have additional tasks though this week. i believe a while ago i was posting about chicken pens and sheep and lambs. well that world inside a world still exists. and my aunt is house sitting so i get to feed aminals before work. and i get to see my grandmother.

just a simple task. my boss in that situation is a lovely matriarch who only wants me to eat some cookies before i go. the sheep happily eat their grain. and we steal some eggs

And have you ever used a dial indicator? It makes me crazy. It attaches to a height gauge and I always get confused when I try and lift it off of what I’m measuring and I push it down further rather than lifting it off of the part. And it usually will move the angle of the indicator and I have to rezero. It makes me wonder if I smoked too much weed and that’s the short term memory loss that I suffer of forgetting which way is up and which way is down. It’s not intuitive. You’re rotating in one axis and moving in another. It just hasn’t clicked. Go no go checks with plus or minus pins isn’t fully uploaded to my brain yet either. Fortunately I have a good grasp on the top down perspective of systems as a whole.

and the journal has met it's circuitous demise i fear. onward i say. new tomorrows and friday it is. my boss has desperado. my face has mucho dinero. i'm tired and i hope that people are not intentionally avoiding all moments of strange internet static contact pertaining to my presence. let's not stage presence this sh*t please.

that's all i'm saying. i'm saying something. i'm just saying that it's phenomenal. stupendous. it's out of this world this strange little shadowy corner of character and vibe, let's not break it down. let's not get our ducks in a row. let's freaking be in this entity of consciousness simultaneously without dictating the purposes of something so transient and ethereal.

it's a now thing! it's a freaking now all the time forever thing!

can't that be so much better than a reinvented classroom?

what's the curriculum and who gives a sh*t?

somethings never change

My work product/software is not a secret in the industry.

I'm just bound by HIPAA where I can't tell you guys info that could identify my patient. I can say that an old crazy man is my patient tonight but I can't say John Doe from New York is at my work.
Not too hard to follow that guideline.

Yeah all of the equipment I use is common practice and I can discuss my understanding of how it works and how I use it but any details of what we’re making or what the problems are is kind of proprietary. I mean I don’t know all that much about what we’re making anyway so for me it’s just a matter of looking at things that are a micro fraction of an inch outside of spec. CMM machines and data analysis software, optical gauging equipment, that’s just cool technology. I’m sure I’ll come across interesting examples of their application that don’t allude to any descriptions of confidential information.
