I know next to nothing about excel so I'm asking the hive mind for assistance.

I need to plot a graph that has a value between 0 and 1000 and show it over time. Hopefully the picture in the next post explains it better.

It's for the settleometer test. That's where I pour mixed liquor(poop water) into a jar and record how much it has settled over time.

Anyh assistance will be appreciated.

excel is very intuitive and you just need to enter all the data
make one axis time and one the measurements and put all dat data in there and then just press the button to turn it into a graph and play with it

Is that poop at the bottom?

Poop and bugs. Collected at the last point before the clarifier.

I don't know how to make it display only one day's data at a time. I'd like to be able to click through each day so we can watch the daily trend over time.

The clarifier works the same way as the jar. Poop goes to the bottom and clear spills over the top.

I could do it, but I can't explain how to do it without actually doing it.

So I'll give you my email and you can send me the template.

I'll tell people you're cool if you do.

Or better you can walk me through it when we're both at a computer. I'm actually running the test now.

I'd like to know how to do this rather than just have it given to me. I've watched a few videos on you too but I can't find what I specifically need

In excel name your x and y axis
Enter the data
X. Y.
1. This much poop
2. This much poop.

Then at the top there is a tab that will create a variety of graphs with that data.

I wish I was at a computer because it’s very easy

I can't remember how to do it, I'm just good at screwing around and always manage to figure it out.

So if I do that I can click on the row number and it will display that day's data only?

So time is my x axis and settled amount is my y axis. I'll try dicking around with this tomorrow.
