My boss always drives me crazy at Christmas time with client gifts and cards, tbh.

This year we were moving and, therefore, did not order cards (literally no time to work on them), but he's at it again on the gifts.

Always waits until the last minute, I can't get the gift baskets there until the week after Christmas (again), so I just pick out a New Year's card and put down "Happy Holidays from Rag_Doll_'s company!" on them and forget about it.

He also has boxes of chocolates this year and these guys are too lazy to hand deliver (which is way nicer than shipping them), so I'll undoubtedly have to ship most of them very soon. He also keeps changing his mind on who to give them to and I finally said to him earlier "If you make one more change, I'm going to eat a box of this candy!".

It's all for marketing/client relation purposes, but he's also cheap as hell, which makes this un-fun.

I would be more irritated, but it's pretty par for the course with his procrastinatin' ass.

My chairman's PA sends out over 200 hampers for Christmas. She has to coordinate teetotallers and vegans and people who just want booze and people who don't want chocolate and all sorts.

Apparently, it takes months and is a complete ball ache.

Oh God, it would have to.

It'd never happen with my boss, lol.

Here it is the 19th and he's still figuring stuff out.

This lady just called me and told me her neighbor was poisoning her with chemicals through the vents in the building and he's also spying on her somehow because he can see everyone who's coming in and out of her front door.

She actually didn't sound insane, but certainly paranoid.

She told me the police didn't believe her.

Spent 2 and a half hours this afternoon preparing 19 stupid boxes of chocolate for shipment tomorrow, which should have been hand delivered by a Project Manager in the first place.

If all I had to do was marketing fluff, it would be.

A problem I've had since we moved the office is with getting a key to the box where our mail comes in from the post office that serves our address.

The post office is a good 5-6 miles away and I've been there 4 times in total trying to get this key. The first time I requested it and showed them a copy of our lease so they could put in the order. This was on December 4th and, 3 weeks later, I still don't have a key after 3 trips to attempt to pick it up.

When I requested it, the lady says "it takes about a week". No instruction about what day of the week they come in or anything. Anyway, the guy I've dealt with all 3 times when I tried to pick it up let me know they come in once a week on Wednesday or Thursday, so I've checked at the end of the week the last couple of times on purpose.

Can I call them first to see if it's there? Sure, but they don't answer their phone.

Today he's like, "It's been past 10 business days, it should be here by now". I said "Is there anything else I need to do, is something wrong?".

He made a copy of my slip and took down my phone number as he's going to check to see if the order was put in in the first place.

Our last two offices did not have a lock box for the mail, the mail person brought in and picked up the mail we had inside our suite.

Also, my boss neglected to tell me about this being the set up and I had to notice that myself on the day we moved in here. Not to mention we didn't have a signed lease until the week before we moved in here, anyway.

My opinion is and has been for a while that the USPS offers too many different services and that's why they are often incompetent.
