I carved a pumpkin. I was going to do thanksgiving, turkey or such.
But it looked complicated.

So i went with this:

Husband calls me Cupcake. Over the years though, I'm mostly just Cup now.

Not festive. But he'll think it's cute.

I have pumpkin seeds i don't know what to do with.

I also have a giant tray of cakeballs i have nothing to do with.

The plan was to mail them to people, but i couldn't get the boxes and stuff required to send them in time.
They are now a week old, i can't send them. They are still damn tasty. But too old to send.

I can't figure out what to do for thanksgiving and christmas. They are just sad and lacking now that we are across the country.

Take the cakeballs to the fire station nearest you. Firefighters love baked goods.
For holidays, volunteer and go see a movie.

I think you could take the treats anywhere and they would like them!

When I used to work at Starbucks regulars used to bring us treats often.

Wow, I would never think of taking baked goods to a coffee shop. Mostly because they sell stuff like that. But I guess employees have to pay for it just like anyone else, and free stuff is always nice.

Your mail carrier would probably also appreciate them. Lots of people tip them around the holidays (although it's definitely not expected), and cookies/candy/etc. are common "tips" because they aren't supposed to accept anything worth over a certain $$ amount (I think $20-$25).

Love your pumpkin!

And we always gave low-cost gift cards to our mail carrier.

And I 100% understand about the holidays. Thankfully we're going to Dallas for T-day, but for xmas we're going to be just the three of us. It's hard, but iiwii.

I've started compiling my list of christmas recipes...my sister and niece are vegan, and I enjoy the challenge of finding tasty recipes...

so far I have a mushroom pasty and a vegan brownie ( with black beans, avocado and dates ) that I'll use to make cake balls....and a chocolate pie made from silken tofu..

Man, last time I made cakeballs it was for my mom's 65th, and we ate those for definitely over a week. I know family eating them isn't quite the same as giving them away, but they definitely were still good past the week mark.

If I'm alone on Christmas I go to a Chinese restaurant and then see a movie in the theater.
