So I'm going to Jacksonville this weekend to spend the weekend with my man. His computer is down so he left it to me to make the reservation, on his card, having given me all his CC information. So I did so last night, and completely f-ed up the dates. So I'm on the phone now to fix it, and apparently they've already charged the card and cannot refund it immediately, it takes 30 business days. What kind of crazy bullsh*t is that? And now I'm on hold for a supervisor to inquire what kind of crazy bullsh*t this is, and I've been on hold for ten minutes. In summation, travelocity and their stupid gnome suck at life.

I saw a nice model of myself on eBay earlier. Any chance you could use that CC and hook a brother up?

HOLY SH*T. After holding for ten minutes, the same guy gets on and tells me HE'S spoken with his supervisor, and blah-blah-blah and gives me the same line he'd given me before.

I hate this.

I've had the same problem, and they ended up fixing it, but learned in the process that the fine print you agree too before you purchase says that if YOU make a mistake, it's your fault. They're doing you a favor if they refund your money, since they aren't legally obligated too.

Good luck though!

They are legally obligated as long as it's over 48 hours. It depends on the individual hotel policy, but the hotel policy has no problem refunding it, it's travelocity that's being a bitch.

I realize it is my fault, but this is what customer service is for.

Was it a hotel stay or airline tickets that you're trying to change?

Ohhhh, I didn't realize Travelocity had that policy (I used a different site). Well, at least they are refunding, even if it takes a month.

You may be able to call the hotel directly to make the change you need.

I talked to a supervisor (finally) and he worked everything out. But ugh.

Just be glad it wasn't airline tickets that you screwed up. There's no going back on those without paying out the nose for a change.

Expedia wouldn't refund me at all for a reservation that I canceled they said they had to just credit it to my Expedia account and to use it at a later date... so that is $500 just sitting in space.

Well, if you ever travel again skeener (most people do) then you can just apply it there.

All of these policies are in the fine print if you take the time to read something before plunking several hundred dollars down.
