I got the mohawk. I love it! But I'm having a b*tch of a time trying to spike it up. Hairspray doesn't want to work, nor does soap, or sugary water. Really quite annoying, I want to spike it for the prom at th end of this month! Grr, I'll have to hunt down some wax and put everything I can find in my hair How's YT today?

Mohawks are making a comeback, I see.

When I was in HS, one of the homecoming king canditates came to school with a plain, conservative hairstyle, but when he showed up for prom it was in a blue, spiked mohawk. The funny part was how pissed the administration was when he won. After that we weren't allowed to change our hairstyles for homecoming.

And what the heck? This is the third try in posting in this journal. GAR!

I was about to say...glue is what we used in the old punk days.

They have hair wax for mohawks, but it's insanely expensive and goes fast like borche.

Dax Wax works really well but is painful and a bitch to get out.
Wood glue is supposed to work really well and come out in 1 wash.

I think my friend used elmers. It gave the hair a nice shiny look too. I have no idea how he got it out though, so don't ask.

I prefer mohawks with a little bit of hair on the sides. Really short, but totally shaven sides freak me out a bit. I think they just remind me of a barbie substitute I had when I was little. *Shudder*

I once used fabric paint. Not that stuff that you just color fabric with but that rubbery stuff to make peintings on fabric.
It kept my hair up for weeks and kept it rigid for months.
To get rid of it however...is a whole different issue.

You need hair wax to hold it up.

Hair wax might work, but it's sorta wimpy. Maybe mix the glue in.

Yeah if you're going to use wax it has to be high-maintenance stuff.

Actually, the way you've got your hair now, it looks like a horse's mane. Keep it that way, see if you can start some new trend.
