So I'm in the bathroom and my daughter comes to the door. "Daddy?" "What?" If you have kids, you quickly learn you cannot escape to the bathroom. They will find you. "Dada, do you HAVE TO leave tomorrow?" Insert knife into heart and turn. Yes, I have a small business trip for the next 3 days. To a 6 year old, that's a life time. IN other news, the neighbor's kitten followed me and the kids to the busstop this morning (a neighbor's house). My son pikced him up and carried him back 100 feet. Kitten follows son back. Daughter picks up cat and takes him back further, kitten comes back. Other kids show up, kitten runs down driveway and waits on a small retaining wall. Kids get on bus, I walk back home, with kitten at my side. I make the kitten stay outside. Wife and I leave to go to work, kitten is still in garage. Come home tonight, kitten is inside the house. BIL let him in about half an hour after I left. I don't need a 3rd cat

Awww...I hate it when kids do that.
My sister is so irritating, but every now and then she'll do something completely adorable that just breaks your heart.

Example:
I've been having some emotional problems lately, and when I'm crying or feeling like sh*t for whatever reason, she'll come up to me and give me a hug.
I'm getting all teary-eyed just thinking of it.

Fishie, I think you are messing with me, but I can't tell. Don't you ever sleep?

Mc, the kitten has a sister who has grown into a complete bitch. they can keep her, but this one isn't too bad. But to cats is enough for me.

calliope, very sweet. I love my kids and know I ramble on about them a lot. I purposely haven't done a journal on them for about 2 weeks.

charisma, that is tough. I told my wife "You are going to havea very clingy girl this weekend", which she agreed.

I used to do a week out of town every year, but with the job shift this past spring, I dind't have to go. But I do have to go to this one.

I must insist on this. You can't leave a kitten outside when it wants to come in.

Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep, fishie. Are you takng anything for it?

Don't just NOT talk about your kids because you think it'll bore us...it's a JOURNAL for chrissakes!
I'd love to hear more cute stuff about your kids.

But yeah, she tends to sense when I'm not quite feeling right, and she'll do such cute things to make me happier.

I'm not yet. I'm going to visit a doctor soon and see if I can get it sorted out.

Kids just know for some reason. My son NEVER cuddles and I was crying the other day...he comes running to me yelling MAMA!! Then he curled up in my lap and snuggled for almost a whole 5 minutes! He kept putting his fingers on my tears. It was so cute that I cried harder.

Thanks, calliope. I appreciate it. and yes, sounds like you have a good sister.

I wish you luck with it, fishie. My wife has trouble sleeping at times, too.

OMG charisma!
I'm going to cry!

That sort of thing happens with me when my dad tells me he loves me while I'm crying. I don't know why I can't take it when he says that, but it just makes me cry harder and kick myself for being such an ass.

Ooo, I love kittens!

Oh, there's a heartbreaker. The kids did that to Roy, too, when he was on the road.

You have been chosen by the third cat. Face it. You can learn it's new name when you get back.

You are pretty much screwed when cats pick you.
7 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Thursday 10/13/05 - 10:26:16 PM EST (GMT-5)
haha, very good innosins. It is currently named Pumpkin or Pudding or something like that. We currently refer to it as B1 for "blackie 1".
7 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Thursday 10/13/05 - 10:28:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
A black cat this close to Halloween? Pumpkin would be great!

Our first kitten was when the kids were 6,5,1. I called her cat 1 'til I was sure she was a survivor
