i watched this a while ago and enjoyed it. i cant speak to its representation of depression with accuracy, but it seemed about right to me.

it's just another worse-and-worse Ricky Gervais vehicles for him to be as smug and holier than thou and pretentious as possible

They're doing a second series.

I liked it overall, but parts did seem a bit self-indulgent, particularly the last episode with everyone telling the character how great a guy he was in spite of being kind of unashamedly awful. I think the way it tackled loss and grief were good, but I found a lot of the supporting characters more likable.
