I haven't seen any other than the Trailer Park Boys reboot and some stand up specials here and there. I know they have also made their own movies - does anyone like those?

What do you like, what don't you like, etc. I heard the Arrested Development was awful but that Beasts of No Nation was great and maybe even won an award(?)

I'm looking forward to the new Mystery Science Theater episodes but I haven't had time to sit through a whole one yet.

Bloodline - I watched the first season and LOVED it.
Orange is the new black - liked it at first and got really meh
Stranger things - was a good little show, fun
13 reasons why - addictive but so drawn out.

I liked all the super hero shows like daredevil, Luke cage, Jessica jones, and just starting iron fists.

Love was ok.

F is for family was hilarious

(Kids cartoons like puffin rock, dinotrux,
And storybots are amazing)

I just went through the wiki list of what I have seen all the way through.

Tbh I liked
Trailer park boys way more before Netflix got a hold of it.

i liked easy too

bojack horseman is good

BoJack is actually my favorite show right now. Especially after how great season 3 was.

i'm not sure if arrested development was the first thing, or just one of the first things, that netflix finance, but it shows
they didn't throw the amount of money into the project that they should have and it shows
it could have been good, but they didn't get the actors in a great contract, so it looks like they just had each one around for 10 minutes at a time and often never at the same time
if they got everyone back together under a new netflix budget, i think it would be better

but then gilmore girls had that and it was still bad
so i dunno

i enjoy house of cards, orange is the new black, stranger things
have some mixed feelings on 13 reasons why

the crown is real cool

unbreakable kimmy schmit is fantastic
it's like 30 rock never went off the air

master of none is like the actual show for millenials
i always feel like i see girls getting that recognition, but it is trash to begin with, and even more so in comparison to master of none

bojack is alright i guess
i kind of gave up on it halfway through

the wet hot american summer series is fun

midnight diner is super cool and more people should watch it
it's about a diner in tokyo that opens at midnight and the different people who eat there

terrace house is a great japanese real world type show
but the people aren't terrible like the real world cast

the season of black mirror they did is fine for the most part, but not as good as the first two seasons imo

that's all the ones i've watched minus the random stand up specials

Wasn't the fourth season of AD like one of the first Netflix originals? If it is I feel like that's why they didn't have the budget yet.
As for giving up on BoJack, sometime after the halfway point of season 2 it really finds its footing and gets to incredible quality. Season 3 has pure strokes of genius. Like the underwater episode is an actual masterpiece.

right
that's what I said

there is so much good tv out there right now and it's so hard to watch it all
if something doesn't grab me, it's hard to justify investing time in it when I could be focusing on other places

Stranger Things was amazing!

My son likes Dinotrux and Voltron (me, too) and my wife watches Orange is the New Black.

I really liked Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, but Iron Fist is painful to watch.

Stranger Things was great and I'm excited to see how they deal with S2

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is just sort of like TV candy. It doesn't take much concentration or investment, and is fairly funny in parts.

OitNB I can only talk about until S3, because I haven't watched any of the new season. I enjoyed it, but I'm just not invested enough to care about the new season.

House of Cards is...uneven, but still very much worth a watch. Even though Kevin Spacey's "South Carolina" accent drives me up a wall (it's really bad in certain ways).

Bojack, I need to try again. It didn't catch me the first time around, but enough people have convinced me to give it another shot.

Master of None is going to be great if you like Aziz Ansari's brand of comedy. If you don't, then I'm not sure if you'll like it or not.

oh yeah stranger things was great keep watching despite the fact that molly ringwald's performance is really f-cking weird for like... half the series if not more
6 months ago - Wednesday 4/26/17 - 3:17:56 PM EST (GMT-5)
Who did Molly Ringwald play in Stranger Things? Why can I not place her in it?

Molly Ringwald?

That makes way more sense.

stranger things- really enjoyed
the oa- enjoyed, but not as much as stranger things, but it has it's moments
grace and frankie- cute little show
fuller house- pretty cringeworthy
unbreakable kimmy- i went off and on on this one, but it's cute.
love- i can't remember much about it now, but i enjoyed it at the time
bloodline- was good, especially the first two? seasons
jessica jones- i'm not really a superhero person, but enjoyed it alright
narcos- it dragged a bit in places, but overall it was good
making a murderer- got addicted a bit to this and it brought up some good discussions
6 months ago - Thursday 4/27/17 - 2:41:26 AM EST (GMT-5)
I watched sand castle last night. It was ok but nothing compared to some of the other modern war movies like hurt locker or American sniper.
6 months ago - Thursday 4/27/17 - 7:15:43 AM EST (GMT-5)
Gonna try to rank the ones i've seen

liked:

Kimmy Schmidt - it's just absurd and joyful. I settle down to watch & pretend it's 30 rock
Orange is the New Black - they don't let you get bored.
House of Cards - team Claire! (haven't seen the last season as I wanted to watch undistracted - maybe this weekend)
Stranger Things - just a well-done job
Bojack - brutal
Love - Love Gillian in this but often feels written from the "sensitive nice" guy's perspective
Easy - Set in Chicago, written simply enough that you can watch while folding clothes, and the self-contained structure keeps it interesting
Grace & Frankie - not watching the second season as the dynamic sort of got old and I didn't care for the children. Frankie saves it.
6 months ago - Thursday 4/27/17 - 7:24:58 AM EST (GMT-5)
meh:

Girlmore Girls - A Year in The Life: I mean it was a big job. They tried to humanize Rory, be edgy, hearken back to the original. Parts were really poignant, but all that really stuck with me (as with the original series) were the annoying, kind of mean bits.
Arrested Development s4 - Couldn't finish, but they started to lose me with George's culty stuff anyway
Fuller House s1 - man, i don't know how i managed to get through the first season. but with all these shows i didn't love i guess the trend is that i wasn't invested to begin with, so maybe I'm just not the audience for them?
6 months ago - Thursday 4/27/17 - 7:27:41 AM EST (GMT-5)
also, what a good selection of comedy specials... lots of lady comedians and one or two Spanish-speakers. excited for sarah silverman and tracy morgan.
6 months ago - Thursday 4/27/17 - 7:54:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
the only one i've stuck with is bojack
i enjoyed daredevil, orange is the new black, narcos, house of cards for like a season but just grew bored of them all

the common thing i've found is that i don't care for the pacing. i think because they design them to be watched all in one go or something, they all ended up dragging, presumably because they know they can save interesting stuff for a few episodes down the line?
6 months ago - Thursday 4/27/17 - 11:37:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
Mstk3k the return is great and is exactly as good as the old series
