Better Call Saul is actually very good. I don't hear people talking about it, but I like to assume it's something everyone is quietly enjoying by themselves.

Does anyone know why some series get whole seasons released but others are weekly? Are people reminded of the show when it comes out every week? I'm just as likely to wait until the season ends and then forget to ever watch any of them.

I think better call Saul is a unique one because it also airs on amc every week. It is not a Netflix 'original' that releases the entire season to be streamed at once.

(I like it, I haven't watched any of the latest season, but I like it!)

Oh, I didn't know that, not being American. That probably explains it, then! Orphan Black is the other example I can think of and that probably has a similar arrangement. I know Netflix the company knows how people watch TV so I've been curious as to what business reasons might call for the delayed release.

Yeah, you guys get the episodes for AMC shows the day after air on Netflix. We don't have that - just the whole season, long after it's finished airing.
For example, Better Call Saul Season 2 just got put on Netflix maybe two months ago. None of the current season is there yet, and won't be until probably next year.

As to the why, 100% of that stuff is down to licensing rights. That's why U.S. Netflix lost a bunch of BBC shows a while back (any episodes of Who, Top Gear, etc. from before a certain year were removed - they are on Amazon Prime now instead because Amazon negotiated the streaming rights/was willing to pay what the BBC wanted for them).

I had no idea. So instead of watching Better Call Saul on Netflix, I should download it to get it a day early. Thanks!

Call the Midwife was recommended to me and I'm 6 episodes in and love it!
I don't find a lot of things on there that I love..when I do I like to spread the word.
