I want to say The Beatles because I don't find any of them to be excellent vocalists and THAT is what does it for me, but I can understand why people like them.
Speaking of Sheryl Crow, that Leaving Las Vegas song is literally the worst thing that has ever happened to my ears.

When I was a kid, my stepbrother's room had a secret little crawlspace/hangout area, and someone scrawled "Rush rocks!" on there years ago, probably teenagers living there in the 80s before us.
I didn't know who they were... I was confused, I knew it wasn't about Rush ,a kid that went to my school

If you're influential, you surely aren't overrated by default. If you've got someone saying a band is influential but they actually aren't very influential at all, that would be overrated. But if they are influential, I'd say they're perfectly rated.

I like Pink Floyd best PRE Dark Side of the Moon.
And I think The Wall is only okaaay to my ears.
Only listened to any album beyond that one...once to a few times each.
But PRE DSotM
I LOVE and recommend.

I think you do have a good reason for Katy Perry.
She's annoying, her vocals sound awful, and she's an incredibly boring entertainer.
She does have a few catchy songs (then again, who doesn't have at least a few catchy songs?) but I wouldn't mind if she just disappeared. |
