Well we finally made it to a new thread for this year... let's not take so bloody long to make it to 1000 this time people!!! This is a chance to discover and share new music. GIT YO ASS IN 'ERE!
The rules as according to psychoman364 and Matthias:
1: DO NOT COMMENT ON A SONG IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD IT.
This shouldn't be too much to ask for as everybody who posts a new song should provide a link to a soundfile or video of the song (with youtube and myspace and stuff, this is an acceptable request, isn't it?)
2: We want a little description of why you like the song.
We don't want "Oh, I liked it.". We want a little something more.

3. This thread is a good opportunity to introduce new stuff to others / to get introduced to music you haven't heard yet.
So, although there's probably different opinions about what qualifies as 'well known' and it's fun listening to some good old tunes every now and then, try to post something a bit original (no, it does NOT have to be something nobody except you has ever heard ...).
VIOLATION OF THE RULES GIVES RIGHT FOR THE NEXT POSTER TO IGNORE YOUR PATHETIC MUSIC HATING ASS AND JUST COMMENT ON THE SONG YOU FAILED AT.
To the tunes my fellow melomaniacs!

Akufen - Jeep Sex
Pretty cool track. Had a nice up-tempo chill groove to it... I could have done without the jumpy sampling. Perhaps if the samples provided more variety or something it would have been better; I'm not entirely sure... All in all a cool number though.
Next: Eddie Roberts - Costa Del Soul

Duuude, kick ass song. Grooved right along, without being too hyped up... nice and chill. Loved the guitar solo. It's not anything I got extremely excited about but I definitely just added it to my youtube favorites. I can't find anything I didn't particularly dislike about it.
Oh yes, it's a gospel track: Richard Smallwood - Total Praise

Not bad, kinda reminded me of a folky Flogging Molly. Not something I would routinely listen to, but I never would object to hearing when hanging out with some good people at a house party.

It feels like I"m play my old Super Nintendo, it's alright music, some I wouldn't continuously listen to all the time, I didn't like the vocals but, kind of remind of Marilyn Manson in my opinion. The whole song reminds of Static-X and Celldweller.

Instrumentaly the song reminded me of Tool. The vocals were mediocre. I really liked the lyrics.I'm not sure if my ears were correct but i thought I heard some violins in the outro.lol.. It was a good song with a strong messege I guess.

The man is a classic for a reason. Not quite my type of blues but you got to give respect where it's due. The man could play and put a lot of heart into his art.

Not my favourite Thin Lizzy spin but a great song nonetheless. Gotta love Phil Lynott... beats the f*ck out of the lacklustre Metallica yawn fest cover.

Decent rockin' tune, but the recording left to be desired a whole lot, especially the drums, it bugged me and prevented me from appreciating somewhat.

An appearance of the King of Cheese in here! How delicious...
Unfortunately I was not crazy about the tune. It was kinda cool, kinda fun, but it didn't really progress beyond that. By the end it kinda gave the feeling of having heard it hundreds of times already.

I liked it, the song itself didn't completely wow me but the musicianship did. I don't have a great attention span for most rock instrumentals.

It's cool. It had my feet tapping. I might have liked it better if the lyrics were in English.

Woah, a Noldor apparition!
and goin' ol' school..
What can I say, I like early Floyd stuff. Such fun lyrics, very British and with a childish quality, very unaware and frail and tentative. It's fun.
The music isn't crazy good, but easy to follow folk with bits and pieces of keys for intended psychedelia.
Not my everyday listen, but sure a fun listen.
(Do I have an everyday listen anyway?)

I didn't like the song but didn't hate it but it had a good beat. I also liked the backing music on guitar. But i think the lyrics where a bit repetative.
Otherwise not a bad song.

didn't know that this was sung by muse. i'm kind of disappointed because their first single, time is running out i think, made me think they might end up being a mildly entertaining rip off of radiohead. this is bad, like industrial and pop, an abomination. have some steve albini if you dig industrial.
