This is so weird. I just switched our auto insurance. Doing so has made me incredibly nervous and on edge tonight. Although I have basically slashed our bill in half. I am waiting on them to come back and say they made a mistake or something and want to charge more. I paid it for six months instead of doing monthly withdrawals. Now I have to notify our ex insurance...maybe that is what is making me the most nervous?

Most people would just be happy they are saving money and something like this would not make them nervous, right?

Thankfully I got my doctor to renew my script on my important med so if I start to have anymore panic attacks I have something to take.

I cannot believe this quarter of school is almost over. Two more weeks. I am still straight A's even in MATH!!! Knock on wood... Now I am wondering if my on campus classes will still be since UT has cancelled...

starting on the 23rd?

Also in my area a little girl was killed and they had been looking for her body for a few weeks and found her and that has me on edge. And then not too far away a mother killed her three year old son which I found out early in the morning. These things have made me really sad and on edge.

How's you?

I pay my car insurance in one payment for the year, I save myself around £150 in doing so.

Paying monthly will coat you more with admin fees and whatnot.

Once you get your policy and you pay it they cany hike the price up, that would mean they miss sold you the policy.

I have only ever been given the option to pay it monthly or every six months. I don't know if they would do it yearly. I didn't ask. I think we are only saving like $70 to pay it all upfront as opposed to month to month.

I think I had the option to pay monthly, 6 monthly or yearly.

It was £700 for the year or £850 if I paid monthly so I just put it on my credit card and pay it off monthly that way.

I just could not believe how much the difference is...almost half. It is one of those sounds too good to be true things which is why I am expecting to get a call or E-mail saying they have to raise our rates. But then again I think I just had accident fall off my report from when that ole man T-boned our Prius.

Are you covered for the same stuff with your new policy?
24 days ago - Thursday 3/12/20 - 4:51:25 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yes. When I got the quote online I was questioning that because the quote I thought would be for liability only. Since our van is financed and newer it has full coverage so I called them to verify it was full coverage for that vehicle. In the end I am glad I did call because she was able to get me some additional discounts on the policy.

So far, so good on the insurance. I signed all the e-documents. I waited a full 24 hours before cancelling previous insurance. We were paying $150 per month on the six month policy and they automatically deducted it each month. The new policy is $401 total, for the six months and it even includes an extra coverage stuff (something like gap coverage). So yay!

Wow so the coverage is actually more than half off now that I have added it up and figured it out. Crazy!

Id assume that they'd have to honour the price they gave you, no?

I love when stores misticket items. Once my mother-in-law wanted a small bag similar to mine (I have a Micheal kors costing £250 odd) and I didn't want to spend that much on a lady that wouldn't appreciate how much it costs when she thought I'd paid £30 for it, so I went into John Lewis for makeup and by chance came across a bag that was supposed to cost £170 but was marked down on the tag to £60 and they honoured that incorrect price. She loved it.

Last night my husband bought these
for my son for £4 each from Tesco, when they were supposed to cost £15 each because of a ticket being misprinted. He paid full price, took them to the manager and showed the incorrect ticket and got refunded the difference.

nothings cheaper than geico is it?
22 days ago - Saturday 3/14/20 - 2:24:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
I saved a lot switching to Geico several years ago.

It slowly went up over each term.

Switched back to progresssive. Saved a ton. Did snapshot. Saving more.

Mine hasn’t gone up at all with geico.
22 days ago - Saturday 3/14/20 - 2:36:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
Progressive would save me about five dollars. I just got a quote.

And it’s close. At the moment I think progressive is hitting more than missing compared to geico with their commercials. But I still really like the gecko one where he printed out all the fliers and “we’re going to pump the brakes on this swap it over to that”.

LOL Geico is the old insurance and Progressive is the new. And we are doing that snapshot thing. I have already told DH to watch his braking and acceleration... We are waiting on the device to arrrive still, though.

I think we've all been on edge during the search for Evelyn. Even though we knew there was a miniscule chance of her being found since she'd not been seen since December, it was hard not to have some hope. I think we all fell in love with her sweet little face.

Yeah and then Melani Brown killed her son, King. She stabbed him to death with a kitchen knife. Rumor has it that child services had been called on her countless times. And she went to churches asking for help because she believed either she or he was possessed...it is not clear.

I just really hope our state doesn't go soft in these cases. I'll be damned if TN allows another Casey Anthony.

If she went to churches believing herself to be possessed, it would seem that the killing wasn't totally in her purposeful, right minded, control...
19 days ago - Tuesday 3/17/20 - 11:36:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
She was a drug user which is probably why
19 days ago - Tuesday 3/17/20 - 11:54:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
That can't be why- - drugs are a victimless crime- - any Lefty will tell you that...
18 days ago - Wednesday 3/18/20 - 2:26:14 AM EST (GMT-5)
Well she died in the hospital today (she had also tried to kill herself after stabbing him to death).
18 days ago - Wednesday 3/18/20 - 12:14:03 PM EST (GMT-5)
Now I am a basket case. The hot water heater caught on fire and I had to quickly get the kids and I out of the house and go to the office to report it.

I need my husband to come home immediately!

It's a good thing it's full of water- - shouldn't burn too much...
