Wait for it...

OK so bad first...

The hot water heater is broken. I have to type out a service request and take it to the leasing office tomorrow. That means we are stuck at home until the repair is done. I guess that is OK because it is raining cats and dogs with flood warnings. If it doesn't get fixed tomorrow I am going to a hotel so we can all shower.

One of the cats threw up a round worm. I went to Tractor Supply and got medicine and gave it to her and she threw up more. I guess we shall go to the vet. I am disgusted by the worms and was dreaming of them.

My work load at school is building and I don't really feel like I am in the mood to do the work. Ever since the admin at the school got me started off on the wrong foot, I feel like everything I am doing is subpar. I don't feel as strong as last quarter.

And good...

I was watching the top videos of youtube and there was this interview with some cinema for adult viewing stars. I do not watch cinema for adult viewing...I mean I have seen some in the past but I am not a regular watcher. Anyway, the guy in the interview was very cute. He did not look like the typical sleazy male cinema for adult viewing star. His name is Robby Echo. I have not seen any of his videos although I am tempted to go watch one. LOL

We are getting the most tax refund we have EVA gotten, due to having kids and some credit I get for going to school. And my husband had 0 all year so they took out more which means we get a lot of it back. And he gets a bonus in March. I feel like we should use some of the money to buy something fun or do something fun.

Now, what is up with yous?
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 3:01:45 AM EST (GMT-5)
Ugh, I hate apartments. I still have a big ugly hole in my shower ceiling that I called about 5 weeks ago.
I'd prefer that to no hot water though!

Careful about charging your place for hotel accomodations; they might not pay. As long as they are making an *effort* to schedule and fix it, they are in the clear. Had that happen to us when my landlord was on vacation and no hot water for several days. But they *called* someone to fix it and it *just happened* to take several days to fix it so we couldn't do anything legally.

Same with this shower problem. She's smart enough not to ignore the issue but keeps delaying it in legal ways.

Anyway, enough about me.

What fun thing would you like to do with extra money?
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 3:09:38 AM EST (GMT-5)
Oh man. Don't get me started on blown hot water heater hell stories.
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 3:20:02 AM EST (GMT-5)
Right now although it is a pain in the butt that we cannot shower tonight...I am glad we don't have to pay for it ourselves. That is the one thing that will suck about home ownership, having to put money back to fix things.

This hot water heater went out before and the maint. man came down and pushed some button on it and it worked again. So it has kept going out and my husband kept pushing that button and then finally today he pushed it and it still doesn't work.

They are pretty good about fixing things here...we have never had to go more than a day. We have had to have a stove thing fixed, the A/C fixed twice, and this water heater. It just makes me nervous that it is on a Friday.

Regarding the extra money, my husband suggest Disney. I don't want to go there because my kids are still too small. We would have to miss out on some rides because of them not being able to go. Also we wouldn't be going for enough time and that makes me very anxious about Disney. I feel like I would feel rushed and not get the most out of it. I don't know...if you go to one "section" of the park, can it be done in like two days...like if we just wanted to check out Animal Kingdom could that be done in two days?

I on the other hand, have been bad. I have been looking at horses for sale on FB groups and seriously considering buying another horse. I feel incomplete without having a horse, after having them all of my life until 2016. But the problem is it is a lot of time and expense that if I am being totally honest with myself I just cannot do it with the two kids and being a full time student. But there have been a few horses that are available that I really really really really want!

Oh, another bad thing is my husband's company is "requesting" that he go in earlier. He can either work normal hours and lose shift diff. or he can work a crappy shift which is 11-8 and keep the shift diff. The problem is 11-8 is such a crappy shift, you cannot do anything in the AM like now he has practically all morning for doctors appointments, errands, etc. But losing the shift diff. would suck. Also the thing about "normal" work hours is you are stuck in the commute. I would personally rather go in an extra hour later/get off an extra hour later and not have to spend a good chunk of my daily "free time" in my car during high traffic hours.

Don't know what we are going to do when I actually have to attend campus because I am still not comfortable with child care. I trust no one to take care of my babies. I recently saw a report where a babysitter/nanny was burning a toddler with a curling iron to punish him. There are just too many horror stories about daycares and nannies. I hate it.

How old are your kids?
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 3:51:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
You could totally do animal kingdom in two days. But I would personally not bring a child younger than four at a minimum and preferably six.
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 4:05:52 AM EST (GMT-5)
I think because of all of the horror stories I'm not very trusting of home daycare or individuals but I generally think facilities are okay. Obviously you have to go and see what your intuition tells you about the atmosphere and check the cleanliness and online reviews and stuff.

My kids are three and eleven months.

They would not even remember Disney. So it would be more for him and I and we couldn't really fully experience it because we would have no one to watch them if we wanted to go on rides.
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 4:12:02 AM EST (GMT-5)
We found out when we were dealing with his pooty ex employer and probably going to *have* to get daycare that there are loooooong waiting lists. Generally, families sign their kids up when they first discover they are expecting.

What are your husband's hours now?
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 10:38:31 AM EST (GMT-5)
3-12 with Friday and Saturday off.

Well the service request was sent now we wait.

What is a debatable topic that has a grey area?

Well...I think I have misunderstood a discussion topic and made a fool of myself. We cannot see other people's posts until we post...and I apparently took the instructions differently than everyone else which I realized after I posted mine and saw all the others. But the professor did not give an example. Oh well. I am so sleepy. I have not slept good since I can't remember...

I pounded out a paper that is due tonight. I just have to incorporate and cite sources, then post for peer review.

The water heater was fixed about an hour ago but I have not showered yet. I am waiting on my husband to get home with some delicious BBQ and will eat, shower, then nap. I just hope I don't sleep too late and not be able to get this paper turned in on time.
11 days ago - Friday 2/7/20 - 3:39:03 PM EST (GMT-5)
I heard an ambulance. I worry my husband was in an accident as the weather is yucky out...so wet. I worry about other drivers who don't seem to get that vehicles operate differently in wet conditions.

I took a 4 and a 6 year old to Disney, it seemed ideal the little one still thought that she met the real Mickey Mouse.
