I've decided that after years of not being able to finish books, I'm going to read 20 today. I've read 2 so far! So that's better than I've done the last couple years. I just need more recs of books to read so if you have any you wanna throw my way, do it.

Also, for the first time in 6 years? I might be getting into a relationship. It's not for sure. We're both giddy and want this to happen, but we're actually meeting for the first time in less than 2 weeks and know we need to actually see if there's physical chemistry there. But god, she's so cute, we've been friends online for years now. She wants to move to Oregon. I've literally only told ONE PERSON in my life so far because I know it doesn't need to be spread around yet but omgggggg.

Hi.

Reading 20 today? That's a bit excessive...

I liked this one a lot.

Gogol's Diary of a Madman is a good, quick read.

What books have you read so far? Might help in finding other stuff you would like.

Congrats on the new friend (or meeting the old friend in person)- - hope it goes well.

Have you read much Neil Gaiman? Because that's a lot of fun
Also Howl's Moving Castle by Dianne Wynne Jones
Jane Austen is always a lot of fun and a pretty quick read

The Ocean At The End Of The Lane is really good

I desperately want to read but I don't have any spare time or mental energy. I can only fit in about ten minutes a day (popping and just before bed when I usually fall asleep).

Any spare day time reading time I have (like on the train) is for academic reading.

Can't go too far wrong with anything Skyfish recommends.

...but you might want to avoid Satantango.

I'd second anything by Neil Gaiman. The Graveyard Book is a really good young adult dark fantasy novel.

The Age of Reason if you're into existentialism

To reign in Hell - Steven Brust.

Fantasy novel about the fall of Satan. Influenced by Milton’s Paradise Lost. 250 pages.

What kind of genre do you enjoy?

The last book I read was the alice network. If you like ww1/ww2 stories based on a bit of truth with fictional elements and stories with multiple timelines, you would probably like it
