We are having a Christmas tree dilemma. We can't figure out where to put it. The space it was last year now has a heavy desk and a large wicker chair in it. We have a very small apartment. Husband wants to get a little mini tree, like 3 feet. I feel like that'll just make me sad. But our current tree is 7.5 foot, 54 diameter. Thats like half our living room. Sigh.

I'm loving Disney+. When it works. So far watched: all of Bug Juice, Candleshoe, Pollyanna (with hayaley mills).

My mom wants house decor for Christmas. My stepdad died 4 years ago now, and the house was very him. wood everywhere. Floors, wall tiles. Ducks everywhere. Just very masculine. Mom wants to feminize it up a bit, make it more her. Plus shes down to one very old pup. So breakable things are okay again.
I'm getting her a k-cup tree, as she said she wanted (she gave me SO many ideas).

I might try to paint her something for her wall. On canvas. I've never painted on canvas before. I usually do more odd things, like wood and cardboard, pumpkins. I'm nervous.

Farmers market today was lovely. Its finally nice out. about 60, so husband wasn't melting. Plus we got a breakfast burrito. So he was happy.

He has a study group thingy today. I might bake something and bring it up.
He's getting pizza for them.
I thought about making donuts. Something that has to be eaten right away, since i don't usually get a chance to make stuff like that for his classes (i bake the day before class). Hm. What else is best eaten right away?

The Hayley Mills typo is driving me a bit batty.

Lava cakes! That might be a little much for you to do for a whole class, but they need to be eaten immediately or they don't work.

If you're nervous about painting on canvas, why not paint something nice and feminine for your mom on wood? It would be a small nod to your stepdad, while still being very Your Mom.

Because she said about 50 times how much she is so happy to be getting rid of all the wood in the house "NO MORE WOOD"

Disney+ doesn't come to the UK until March of next year. But I feel like the nostalgia will get old.

I was thinking that. Personally though, i realized i spend a lot of time on netflix and hulu trying to find family friendly movies/tv, without it being for toddlers (with netflix tends to have a lot of). Disney+ sooo fits that.
I got the bundle with hulu and espn, not an annual. So i am curious to see if i stick with it.

Yeah, when I heard the details/price, my first thought was "I might try that for like three months and then cancel." It definitely wouldn't keep me subscribing for years or anything. But I'm definitely not subscribing at all until they fix some of the technical issues that are currently happening (and add the extremely basic functionality of remembering where you left off in a series!).

Yesssssss. That's annoying. I do wish i would have thought about that a bit more first.
I initially said i would get it after Christmas, since i tend to watch a ton of Christmas movies from now until January.
But then i got all impulsive.

Still though. Ive watched a good amount of stuff in the few days we've had it.

So. I made a tie dye bundt cake to bring up to the study session.
But. Forgot it takes like an hour to bake one of those.
So.
We'll see if the session is even still going on in time for me to bring it up.

I might have a giant tie dye bundt cake to myself.

Don't forget that Disney's developing lots of original content for Disney+ and that some of their catalog isn't free of contracts yet with the other streaming services.

Ah I didn't realize they are having new original programming.

Yeah, it kicked off with The Mandalorian as the flagship new show, which is GREAT. They also already have a live action Lady and the Tramp, a High School Musical series, and a Christmas movie called Noelle starring Anna Kendrick.

There's lots more in the works.

That's all great, but it also needs to function as a streaming platform. At the moment, there are major issues with that part of the service.

I started watching pinocchio yesterday. There's so many classics ive never seen. The ones we owned ive seen a million times (Cinderella, 101 dalmatians, fox and the hound...), but if we didn't own it (on vhs ), i didn't see it. Then i got all old.
I finally watched beauty and the beast a couple months ago.
Disney+ is so perfect for catching up on those.

I fell so in love with Bug Juice as well. Though it broke my heart a bit. I so want to go to camp as a 9 year old.

I went to go watch something and it said "available February 2020!". I was wondering what that was all about.
