The title of this journal was a post in reference to one of mine on my Disney forum today, lol. I took a screenshot for receipt purposes of a public post, which I intend to use later when the poster is terribly wrong.

Vengeance will be mine!

Anyway, I did treat bags for Halloween this year (32 of them), so I hope I have enough trick or treaters to carry away most of them, at least. It's supposed to be cold on Halloween, though, so that's worrying.

I've been feeling pretty good for many days now, so I'm sort of waiting to... not, I guess. I haven't even slept that well the last few nights because the cat was up in my grill during the early morning hours. Sometimes I see why people don't allow their pets to sleep with them.

Hmmm. What are things (don't have to be serious, preferably not) that people do that make them an bum opening to you?

I'll start.

If you use the twist ties at the grocery store instead of tying a knot in your produce bag, you're an asshole.

If you're able-bodied and don't return your cart to the corral, you're an asshole.

Oh sh*t, I forgot about the first post censure of asshole.

I've said this before, but waving other people to go out of turn at a four-way stop. I will never, ever go when you wave me on like that. Just take your turn and follow the rules that everyone knows! (well, *should* know)

Don't take it for granted...I would give anything to have Corwin bugging me. He used to come and rub all over my legs when I sat on the toilet. He used to lie right next to me in bed and I would have to get him to move to get up. Sometimes when you would walk past him he would leap up at your legs. And he used to give love bites and rabbit kicks that would sometimes bring blood.

I really cannot stand to go grocery shopping during the day anymore. I hate the people who stop right there in an aisle to look down at their phone. Or the people who are walking straight forward but looking sideways.

I try to do all my grocery shopping at night now.

Oh, I definitely don't. Our girl is 13! She's in pretty good health, thank goodness.

I've started do pickup at Wal-Mart a lot, though I haven't done it recently. It's SUPER easy and I highly recommend it.

I may start doing some grocery pick up. Usually I send my husband to the grocery store after work but he enjoys grocery shopping so it turns into a time problem. Like I will send him for a gallon of milk but he takes an extra twenty minutes looking at cheese and vegetables...
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 7:23:20 PM EST (GMT-5)
Someone else here does pick-up (though I think not at Walmart) and says they love it! I think petite?

I would sort of like to try it...but then I feel like I don't really have an "excuse" to have someone else get my groceries for me. No kids, no schedule that's so crazy I can't get to the store during normal hours, etc.

(I fully understand that this is a stupid way to feel, and you don't actually NEED a reason to take advantage of a service. I don't shop at Walmart, but theirs is even FREE. So you really don't have to justify it in any way.)

I guess I'd rather wave to confirm that I'm yielding to them than to have people sitting in doubt if they should go or not. Lots of people are stupid at stop signs and don't always recognize that it's their turn to go.

1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 7:45:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
You just shouldn't wave people on at four-ways when it isn't their turn, period. If it's ACTUALLY their turn, and they don't realize it, that's one thing. If it's your turn, and you're waving someone else on "to be nice"...you're not being nice. You're creating a potential traffic hazard that was completely unnecessary.
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 7:53:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
Right- - missed the 'isn't their turn'.

I don't see that nearly as often as people forgetting that it's their turn to go...
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 7:54:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
It happens all the time here. I think it depends. If there is a four way stop but there are only two of us stopped and the other person waves, I am going to just go...

Sometimes I stop to let pedestrians cross...as you are legally supposed to and they wave you forward and that is one I don't like!
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 7:56:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, it happens a lot here, too. We have a bunch of four-way stops on side streets (which everyone uses to avoid the main street because it gets congested), and there is a fair amount of both. But definitely more "I'm being nice" waving than people not knowing it's their turn to go.
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 7:59:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
Around here, one is supposed to stop for pedestrians to cross even if there is no stop sign. Most people seem to adapt and just skip turns if pedestrians are crossing.

1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 8:02:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
I dislike the 'I'm being nice' drivers. I've had oncoming cars stop and wave for me to make a left turn in front of them- - neither of us had a stop sign. Traffic wasn't heavy, there was no reason I couldn't wait for them to pass in order to make the turn. Stuff like that just confuses everyone and makes things more dangerous.
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 8:03:36 PM EST (GMT-5)
Stopping for pedestrians is a pretty universal rule, I think (in the US and I'm sure lots of other countries, anyway).

The big new thing around here is those motorized scooters that you can rent for 15 cents a minute or whatever it is. They are only allowed on campus (they're actually geocaged, which is pretty neat), but holy crap are those things a hazard. They're allowed EVERYwhere (in streets and on sidewalks!) and you can't hear them coming. Which, you can't hear bikes either. But usually people who are biking are used to biking, and being more careful. I've seen soooo many people already on those dumb scooters, looking down at their phones at like 15 MPH. They are ridiculous.
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 8:05:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yep...they are getting banned around here. They aren't wanted in Sevier county or downtown Knoxville.
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 8:05:02 PM EST (GMT-5)
Stopping for pedestrians is fairly recent here- - they used to have to wait for a clearing in traffic or go to a controlled intersection.
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 8:05:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
Bicycles are banned on sidewalks here (unless the rider is 12 or under).
1 month ago - Monday 10/28/19 - 8:07:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
In downtown Gatlinburg there are so many pedestrian crosswalks and you'd be amazed how many tourons ignore it. And at least one or two people get killed each season because of it... They have talked about making over passes because people cannot learn that pedestrians have the right of way

They are in town here. But campus has its own rules, and they allow bikes on the sidewalks.

Oh, that's what I thought you were talking about. Yeah, as far as I know, it's not a thing to have to stop for pedestrians here if they're not at a crosswalk.
