Has anyone seen Behind the Candelabra? About liberace.

I'm debating watching it but the casting seems.. not right. The reviews I've read are very split. Thoughts?

I'm watching The InBetween and I'm torn because i really like the show, but it's scaring the crap out of me/probably going to give me nightmares.
Same happened with Medium and Ghost Whisperer. I just can't watch stuff like that. It gets into my dreams. Sigh. I like them though.

I need some new shows to binge. Good Witch has new episodes! But that will only last so long.

Black Panther was pretty good.
Ariel controversy is weird. And i didn't realize how much Ariel is tied to red hair for me.

Anyone see I Am Mother? Is it creepy?

I feel very behind on movies.

What movie have you seen recently that it seems like everyone else saw forever ago, but you just got around to?

Hi.

I saw Behind the Candelabra a few years ago. I remember liking it, but don't remember much else.
11 days ago - Saturday 7/6/19 - 8:44:28 AM EST (GMT-5)
Fantastic beasts isn't bad, I think it was hyped more than it deserved to be, though.

I don't remember making it to the end of the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, I think I may have found it boring.

Wonder woman was great.

Aquaman, I liked the idea of more than I liked the actual film. But the guy is beautiful so it more than made up for it. But my opinion might have been different had I seen a good copy of it. I watched it on the net soon after it came out.

That is all.
And hi

Aquaman is the only one on the list I've seen. I should see wonder woman and probably will see Toy story 4 at some point.

We just missed toy story 4 at the theater we are suuuuper bummed, since there are very few movies we both like the look of enough to see in the theater

Speaking of movies.

Popcorn. I'm still listening to my british radio podcast thing and they are talking about getting sweet or salty popcorn at the theater.

What is sweet popcorn???
11 days ago - Saturday 7/6/19 - 11:19:01 AM EST (GMT-5)
Popcorn with butter and sugar instead of butter and salt. Not my favorite either way.
11 days ago - Saturday 7/6/19 - 11:40:59 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'm not sure i can accurately imagine what that tastes like
11 days ago - Saturday 7/6/19 - 11:50:21 AM EST (GMT-5)
Sprinkle some sugar packets on movie popcorn instead of salt packets. Don't waste a whole tub of movie popcorn trying it though.
Saw Rocketman on the 4th. Didn't like it as much as Bohemian Rhapsody but then again that's partially a preference to the music.

Of those I've only seen la la Land. But I can't wait to see toy story 4.

I had a list of "everyone's seen it" movies that boyfriend has accidentally helped me make progress on as he had them on dvd :

Blues brothers
Groundhog Day
Ghostbusters
Princess bride
Braveheart
Terminator, Terminator 2
Indiana Jones (just raiders so far)
star wars (with previous boyfriend but didn't get through all of them)
star trek (watching the even movies have seen the 2nd and 4th so far)

Still need to see:
National Lampoon
Mel brooks movies (I've only seen Spaceballs but don't remember it)
Friday, Next Friday
James Bond

There are others that I either don't remember or fit the category but weren't on my mental list. Disappointingly I don't feel much more American

Oh!
Alien and its sequel we watched.
Edit: And Beetlejuice

Of your list I've seen
La la Land
Girl with the dragon tattoo
Wonder Woman
-liked wonder woman the most and la la land the least

I'm surprised toy story 4 isn't in theaters anymore! That was short.

I only saw one of the Star Trek movies and that was the one where they went back to 20th century West coast to take a humpback whale.

Saw the Indiana Jones and Star Wars movies multiple times. To the point of driving my ex crazy with the movie quotes. "He chose...poorly" got lots of use as did "close your eyes, (name). Use the force" even when i was teaching my oldest how to drive.

My parents just watched a movie called The Intouchables. They said it was really good.

I want to catch up with Paul Thomas Anderson and Yorgos Lanthimos but I never take the time.

that's the fourth one! So far I like them more than star wars i have a gripe with what they did to Harrison Ford.

I honestly am irked by people who don't understand Han's sacrifice.

6 days ago - Thursday 7/11/19 - 3:12:18 PM EST (GMT-5)
Plot turns can make sense and still feel unsatisfying imho

I don't know if it's true, but I've always heard that HF wanted to be killed off in ROTJ.

I believe it! It just sucks because his character had finally started to not be a prick and then...

You know what? I like Han the best in TFA, so I'm right there with you on that.
