I went to the city this weekend. Not really to the city. To a baseball game in the city. We were in Queens the whole time. I had Korean Gratin which isn’t even really a thing. That was afterwards though.

So the Mets lost. But it was a really good baseball game. It had a rain delay, three home runs, and the Mets turned a double play. Our reliever gave up back to back solo home runs with a one run lead. And when we were down one in the bottom of the ninth we stranded two men on base. We had two on with no outs and we didn’t score a run. But it was fun. They have good beer selection as well. And a smoking section which a lot of stadiums have done away with entirely.

The Korean food was near the hotel. The hotel that we were transferred to which was originally supposed to be two queen sized beds and was actually two singles.

I lost Rock Paper Scissors and slept on the floor.

While I consider myself a Pirate fan, I've always appreciated the Mets.

It was a good trip though. Two of my brothers, my nephew, my dad, my uncle, a cousin, and a cousin’s husband.

The rain delay was exciting, the score was close the whole game and I maintained a good buzz without getting drunk.

I’m exhausted now but it was well worth the trip.

Their relief is heartbreaking. I like a lot of the players in the rotation though. They actually have a responsive offense in tough situations which is something we’ve lacked for many seasons.

The losers won last night.

These are pictures of the new place. They’re putting in new carpets. The old school dishwasher still works.

Jesus, that dishwasher looks older than me.

Was water even invented when you were born?

We didn't have water when I was growing up. There was only free hydrogen and helium.

I had to make an account with the water company. And an account with the electric company. And transfer my renter’s insurance. And my internet.

The internet guys sold me on a cellphone plan as well. If I use under a gig I’ll just have to pay 14 dollars. My parents are currently paying fifty or so per phone.

It was a bundle thing. I should use less than a gig. Whoever’s paying the net cost should decrease.

I’m a lonely man child who still mooches off his parents.

Wah.

Oh I also spoke to another tenant who’s leaving. That’s four out of six. This place will never be fully rented.

You'd be surprised. The house we were renting was sold to another investor. When we moved he increased the rent $400 extra dollars a month. His house payment must have been less than half of what he was asking for the rent and it took no time for it to get rented out. I thought it was going to sit for months, empty. It has since had two more different tenants at about the same rental rate. They don't stay for more than a year but rentals are in high demand.

A landlord that I almost rented to just called my parent’s house looking for me by name because she heard about the building selling and she wanted me to rent from her. That’s so nice.

Phish is playing at SPAC.

My uncle invited me but I have to work. Plus I don’t really care for Phish. Like at all.

No one noticed that the mountains still have snow?

It was great. I could dance around in the aisles without being crowded. There were enough beer vendors so i didn't have to be in line. I was among the younger half of people there but there were gen xers and millennials who were enjoying themselves too.

That gif kind of breaks my brain.

Does anyone else have Thursday and Friday off?
14 days ago - Wednesday 7/3/19 - 11:23:07 AM EST (GMT-5)
I would have taken friday off if I wasn't so f*cking busy.
