I'm awake at 5:50, gross, so journal time.

I recently saw an interview of Richard Simmons by letterman and he was a total wad of dick. It was really awful to watch. Apparently it was a thing? Simmons was a regular and letterman always borderline cruel.

Wtf.

Starting my new job next week.

YouTube it. Share my wtfing.

I never liked letterman. Or leno. I liked craig ferguson. Kimmel I'm neutral on. Fallon has his moments both ways. Conan grew on me a bit, though he was a bit too fake for me. I like his podcast.

Craig Ferguson is my favourite of the bunch but I’ve probably mentioned that on this site a few times by now

Why are you awake so early?

My son won't stay asleep.

I like seth meyers and colbert. Of the older set, I prefer conan and his weirdly sexy pocket string dance.

ooo colbert. he's alright. I don't think I've seen seth meyers.

David Letterman was of that old school looney tunes bully type of humor. If the guest isn't making the audience laugh make the audience laugh at the guest by making fun of them.

Conan was my favorite back in the day.
Have never watched him on tbs
Daily Show was my go-to
I liked it in the craig kilborn days, adored jon stewart, loved the colbert spin-off, love trevor noah still
Colbert and Meyers are both good.
Kimmell annoys me. He has since love line with dr drew 25 years ago. I can not stand jimmy fallon unless he's doing music stuff, especially with justin timberlake. History of Rap makes me smile

As a life-long insomniac, I have many opinions on late night tv

Seth Meyers Check-in is quality.

Bon Appetite youtube shows are my late night viewing of choice lately though. I've gotten through most of the ones that i'm interested in so I'm gonna have to find a new channel soon

Is that the same as the epicurious ones? Those are good.

I agree with your assessment, wonder. Except I never watched daily show pre Jon Stewart and I was iffy on Trevor Noah at first. I also really enjoy John Oliver's show.

Leno was the only one of them that I liked. I think that Carson was the best. I thought Fallon was funny on SNL, but didn't like his show- - too much music stuff. I don't watch any of them now.

I never watched Craig Ferguson

Graham Norton, ftw

You all need to watch Ferguson interviewing Robin Williams.

I do love Graham Norton. I think you get a better feel for a person's personality there than on most talk shows.

I never really liked David Letterman, tbh. I don't find him to be very funny.

I've been a fan of Conan O' Brien since my early teens as I used to stay up and watch Late Nite every chance I got. Jay Leno was pretty bland and innocuous, but I'd watch his show, too, because it was on before Late Nite. I still watch Conan on tbs sometimes. He's the best. Conan without Borders is always hilarious.

Wonder, wasn't that Adam Corolla on Loveline? Jimmy Kimmell did The Man Show with Adam.

It’s always good, and often great when the chemistry matches.

I was loveline obsessed for awhile. I don't remember Kimmel on it. I never saw the tv show, but adam was the co host. Then stryker. Then mike catherwood. With some possible people in between. And a dude before adam for awhile.
Adam irritates me. I can't listen to any podcast with him on it anymore even though i Dr drew. But really. DD has like 6 podcasts, only 1 with adam.

Ooo i do like James corden. And graham norton.

Jonathan ross seemed pretty good too, from the clips I've seen.

I am super meh on James Corden generally (including his late night show), but I do love how he's living the dream of actually performing in musicals (and even hosting the Tonys!) despite being a perfectly mediocre singer. That sounds kind of shady, but I actually mean it - he was fine in Into the Woods, obviously not the BEST person they could've cast, but fine. And he seems to just have a great passion for musical theater, which I appreciate. Like it's sort of endearing how star-struck he gets when he gets to perform with/interview Broadway legends.

(Also I just always, always see him as Smithy, because that's the first role I ever saw him in )

I really loved the streetside beauty and the beast he did with himself as belle.

Watching watchmojo top ten celeb scandals everybody forgot about, letterman was featured in a scandal where he was blackmailed over some misdeeds in trying to get women he worked with to sleep with him.
