My boss FINALLY decided to whack my co-worker. I've talked about him on here before. He's terrible and deserves to get fired. He's been getting away with unimaginable sh*t for years now.

I've never been so happy to see someone get fired before.

Oh man!
This chick that cries EVERY shift and complains about her terrible tips (because she gives terrible service) from all the mean customers got fired last night. :)
I totally am feeling the "about damn time" satisfaction of someone getting canned.

One of the reasons I'm still working where I am now is I'm looking forward to the day our f*cking pig door greeter gets his ass handed to him.

was this the guy doing drugs during office hours, or was he just some incompetent paper pusher?

You're thinking of the crack addict living on a mattress in the warehouse. That was Ragdoll's employee, lol.

Here's where I talked about him before.

And holy poo that was over a year ago. It's gotten worse since then. He f*cks up everything he does. He goes daaaays without showing up yet still puts hours on his timesheet.

There are at least two more people I would fire if i could.

That guy was the bedbug of your work.

I'm surprised you didn't have to burn the place down to get rid of him.

We practically did.

I used to say he must have pictures of the boss f*cking a goat or SOMETHING.

Leave Stevie Nicks out of this.

OH HALE NAW

He was my coworker; don't make it sound like I hired his ass, because I wouldn't have!

Okay, so this is still in the works. I thought it was happening this Friday, but I just talked to the boss.

So far all we really have are anecdotes. Even if it is "at will" employment, he can still decide to sue the company if we fire him. We either need concrete evidence to back up the firing, or we need to make him so miserable he quits. We are working on both.

Grow a pair, already!

The crackhead was here 4 months, but at least we got rid of him!

Sweet Jeebus. Where is your HR dept? They should have been logging this a long time ago.

The problem is my co-workers got bored with telling the boss everything. They should have done so as things happened.

The construction industry and related engineering are notoriously bad at HR stuff, let me tell ya.
1 month ago - Tuesday 1/9/18 - 10:21:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
Oh it's not just construction/engineering, let me tell you. I've worked some places that were in completely unrelated industries where I've facepalmed so hard over their HR practices. Not just lack of documentation for things that actually WERE problems, but unfair firing practices over things that were NOT problems. One place legit tried to fire a lady who was out on FMLA leave after surgery (which is exactly what that law is designed to prevent lol).

I keep trying to tell her this isn't the only industry where people suck.
1 month ago - Tuesday 1/9/18 - 11:07:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
The place that tried to do the FMLA firing thing is getting sued, I found out a few months ago. Not over employment practices, but the state AG is suing them over alleged defrauding of clients.

I laughed a lot when I read that complaint. And then I called the AG's office and told them I'd be happy to talk to them about internal practices at any time, because every single thing the clients were alleging was stuff I'd seen happen when I worked there.

I'm waiting for something like that to happen at my old work

everyone there knows there's a major security issue with customer info (names, phone numbers, addresses, emplyment & salary, social security numbers, dob, etc) being saved to the easily accessible public computers
but nobody ever wanted to do anything about it
despite the fact that it could cost the company hundreds of thousands, if not up in the millions, of dollars if that were caught during an audit

and, of course, the potential for disaster that comes with having a group of sexual predators that prey on the women there
because sexual trauma in the workplace totally isn't a major thing now
