Might as well make another one to highlight my non tech savviness.

We just switched our tvs between rooms so we can plug headphones into the one in the living room since i am awake at all hours and he's sleeping.

I thought i knew how to turn on and watch the dvd player on the other tv (though i haven't done it in awhile). But i can't figure this one out. Everything looks connected right. I turned on the player with the button. But Input isn't showing it, just the roku and antenna.

Grrr. I had serious movie plans tonight too, watching Ellen Foster then Curly Sue.

We have to make a major life decision in the next 24 hours. So, that's fun. It's not an obvious choice either, we don't think, which drives my husband crazy. I'm more, whatever we decide is meant to be. He's all, that's bullsh*t, there is a right and wrong choice. Or at least a better choice.
I just can't think like that. It would drive me bananas.

Hi.

I want to make christmas cookies. But, 4am and all, don't think husband would appreciate the banging about in the kitchen.

I need to get to Walmart for stocking stuffers, but i only have the car on weekends.
Weekends in walmart during December seems like a very bad idea.
I AM up all hours though. Walmart is 24 hrs. Maybe ill go at like 1am.
Well. 7am. Husband will be convinced ill be murdered if i go out at 1am.

Did you do anything christmasy today/yesterday?

So far I've watched 2 xmas movies. Decent ones too, those are hard to find with all th e sh*t ones about.
Though i think I've seen one before.

Ellen and Curly were my xmas movie continuation, without being outright xmas movies.

But i guess i have to watch something else

I hate trying to make technology work
It's one of those things I can't just muck about with for a bit and figure out (like putting together furniture or something)

I've been going for late night drives into town lately (but not shopping, because I live in a small town). I've been playing Pokemon go and no doubt scaring little old ladies as I drive about their neighbourhood slowly at midnight

Why are you up all hours?

What's the major decision about?

Job/moving

Im not working at the moment, so my sleep hours get kinda funky. I have weird sleep cycles.

Oh dear. I bet that's a hard choice to wrap your heads around since you basically just moved.

Are you looking for work or not working for some other reason?

I was, but i feel like i work his job with him supporting him for now. If we stay i will find somewhere eventually. It isn't really a hot bed of opportunity here. Plus, still the one car situation.

The moving again expenses is our main sticking point. If where we move doesnt pay for it, or have other perks like that, it's just not feasible.

That's a bummer. Although not having to go to work full time has its advantages, it can take its toll on you.

Moving can be expensive and irritating. I look forward to not doing it for a while.

Your husband seems like a nervous wreck about everything. Do you have a way of appealing to his anticipatory freakouts while discussing things (important and not), or do you wing it and then regret it? Asking because I'm in a similar boat.

It's nice not to have to wake up, and having the day to do what i want, for the most part, around the house, while taking care of the house. But it gets a bit.. unsatisfying.

He so is. A main reason I'm not working trying to ease the stress of his job is my job right now.

I'm not quite sure what you mean?

Adult decisions suck.

Knowing that he freaks out about everything big and small, when you have to make decisions together, are you able to successfully navigate around his triggers to have an actual discussion/resolution, or does every attempt to discuss or decide something end in disaster?

My other half is wracked with anxiety we haven't found a way to talk about anything significant without him freaking out. Kind of looking for tips if you have any.

hm. hes not too bad with big decisions actually. We are both super indecisive, so thats unpleasant. He more freaks out about smaller stuff, and ruminates in circles forever. Hes mostly rational with bigger decisions. He also has zero patience, and would rather just decide and pick anything a lot of the time if it doesn't really matter too much.
It helps to stay the super chill and calm one. The second i follow him down his freak out at all, its just done.
I've discovered being with him that I can be superhuman calm and patient and zen. Because I have to be.
The amount of reassuring I do is just crazypants.
