i had a BODY HORROR INCIDENT. basically a spot in my gums was intensely bothersome a month+ after my wisdom tooth extraction and i was like "hmmm this is probably not normal" and i ended up excising a short, sharp piece of bone from the area. it's healed and normal now but i was SO SHOOK when it happened. i assumed my gums were just hella swollen and possibly abscessed or something scary and gross but i didnt think there was a goddamn OBJECT in there tf

i still have been doing pretty much absolutely nothing with my life, but that's okay! nothing is super urgent right now and i still have long term plans even if nobody believes me and they are also sort of open ended and vague. i am going to buy some sweatpants online right now to further commit to the recluse lifestyle

orphan life is amazing, theres no accountability from anyone and i can put brownie batter in the waffle iron

I would be so mad at the dentist for that! If you had gotten an infection because of it YOU COULD HAVE DIED!!
Glad you were able to sort it out

yeah i was tempted to call the dentist and be like HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME but idk if i get to be mad or if its an honest mistake?
for my one week followup appointment i was like "yo im still in a ton of pain what gives" and he was like "thats normal, heres a refill on the vicodins"
and then after i weaned off the good meds i was super reliant on ibuprofen

i don't know if it's reasonable to expect him to have found the obstruction during the followup. it's not like they would have done a second x-ray or anything

Does brownie batter work well in the waffle iron?

I was wondering this too.

I think...
I saw (and smelled) that candle
or a similar one recently

that bone thing reminds me of how there have been cases of surgeons leaving ITEMS inside patients on accident
that bothers me
a lot

i hope i can have a robot surgeon someday
there are things that humans should ideally not do
like fly planes or do surgeries

I found a candle that smells like wood and tobacco. It reminds me of home. I love it, and I never love candles.

It's almost gone and I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE

that sounds amazing
i love woodsy smells, woodsy candles
and tobacco

once i found a war tactics book from the 1910s and it smelled like old leather and tobacco
i wanted it so bad but it was gone by the time i went back for it

and that book shop is like a hoarder's place
so i was searching through piles of books in the upstairs area in the hope that i'd find it again
so sad

I love old book smell. I probably look like a weirdo in antique stores sniffing the books.

I had a pretty big bone spur the last time I had my wisdom teeth taken out. I think they're pretty common, I've known others to have the same thing happen.
