I fry up my bacon. And then I drink the grease.

I haven't fried bacon since I've been a butcher. I think it's grounds for losing my job.

I usually put mine on a baking sheet in a 400 degree oven (American units of temperature) for something like 15-20 minutes.

I like to go 350 for about 15-20, just keep an eye on it the last few minutes and either cook more or remove.

On parchment paper.

If I have it any higher than 400 I am more likely to make it too crisp.

Sometimes I forget the timer and play it by smell.

I usually put mine in the oven cold and turn the oven on. It always comes out perfectly.

Fried bacon tonight for a recipe though...needed the fat to cook some other bits and pieces in It was delicious.

Frying makes such a f*cking mess.

Feels like that would extend the time between raw bacon and my mouth. And what of the fat? It won't flavour other things!

Everything about this sounds like like it should be banned under Geneva conventions.

Ok so anyone who cooks bacon for twenty minutes is a twat.

Method: put back bacon in hot non-stick frying pan. When fat starts to run, add chopped mushrooms. When almost cooked, add egg to fry in remains of fat. After two further minutes, empty contents of frying pan onto heavily buttered white bread. Add red or brown sauce as preferred. Put another piece of heavily buttered white bread on top. Eat.

You can thank me later.

What is this 'red or brown sauce' of which you speak?

Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking the red might be ketchup, but one never knows.

I'll have to check if my grocery store carries HP sauce.

Here is a giant shocker
Get ready
There is still fat.
It pools. It doesn't disappear because you bake it.

You bake bacon for 20 minutes and it is delicious and sorry that your tastes are big bad.

I just made some today and I should have taken pictures. It turns out crisp and cooked the same consistency all the way through. There is never going back and no one will ever convince me that frying is okay. Scrubs.

(No flipping or popping grease. You put it in and cook your other items.)

You see, people are attached to their ways.

BUT....I'm going to try your method. I am.
