My yearly work cycle is fairly solid, or has been for a couple years, but there is a gap from October to January that yearly puts me in anxious fits. I'm currently unemployed searching for a job, which wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to find one that would either only hire me for 3 months, or be remote enough to maintain when my next contracted job starts in January.

On top of this, I am trying to start my own business and currently am hitting what may be a deadly obstacle - lack of community interest. So, naturally, I'm questioning everything about my life right now.

Anyone have words of advice, comfort, or (dare I ask) criticism? Doth the world of Youthink have any sage and insightful brilliance to confer to still the raging waters of my anxiety-ridden brain?

Hope all is well!

Oh, I do. Doesn't solve anything, though. Helps in the very short term, but then I sober up and all the problems are still there, but with less time to solve them, those jerks.

A theatre company. I've done a few shows with friends and associates over the last few years to some pretty good reception, and the artistic flow in my hometown seems to be opening itself up to more ventures like this, but its beginning to feel like a lot of people are big on talk on the front end, but then when the rubber meets the road they're not available or nowhere to be found. And by "they" I mean both other theatrical folks to help and audience members to see it.
