reading a book "You Play the Girl" right now and this line just made me feel sick with familiarity:
" You could choose to be a person, or you could choose to be loved".

There is definitely a sad truth to that..

Is it saying you have to dehumanize yourself to be loveable (like choose to not be a person)

Or is it saying being loved is a choice to imply not being loved / staying single is a choice

Or wait
"You play the girl" like a guy 'playing' a girl. Because I know you read pua stuff when you're feeling man hatey.

What is the context here I'm lost

it means that only cats are lovable, so in order to be loved you need to transform yourself into a catgirl i.e. not a person

Yeah, that line makes no sense to me

I support this message

I read it as often you have to conform and suppress aspects of who you are in order for others to like/love you
So you can either be yourself, and alone
Or suppress and be loved

so thats why no one loves me..

I was thinking what hamlet explained, but also, after I posted this, my cat was having a fit about playing, so I had to play catch the mouse on a pole with her for like an hour (which is excruciatingly boring for me because she likes to wait to pounce for a long time, as one should) but then she loved me a lot after that. So I did have to play at being a cat instead of a human to be loved yesterday as well.

"ovee" is very bothersome. I don't think I'll keep this journal much longer. Maybe until my morning.

I'm at work.

I have a fussy patient.

I just checked the bathroom here. Gross. Used toilet paper thrown on the ground. Paper towels thrown on the ground.

I have noticed a very strong correlation between rude, fussy people and rude bathroom habits. It appears to be an act of aggression, trying to cause some chaos when they're in a situation where they are trapped or nervous.

It's these times when the animal nature of humans becomes more apparent, under our fancy layers of clothing and language.

...used tp on the ground?

Uh huh.

Idk, it's like a stressed dog peeing in the house or a zoo monkey throwing poo. Passive aggressive people like to leave their soiled bathroom items around. It's a thing.

That's weird. I could never work in healthcare.

I could never be a nurse or similar. Too much sh*t to put up with, sometimes literally.

I think it's just a trashy person thing, the same kind of person who would make a scene fighting with service people and are generally just belligerent fxckheads, I mean really, a normal adult would flush a fxcking toilet

It makes me think of the Pokemon Eevee

I'm passive aggressive, but I would never do that...that's disgusting..

I have to say that I don't agree with that quote.

The older I've gotten, the more I'm unabashedly myself, not just with my SO, but with most people I interact with.

I'm probably annoying sometimes, but there are people out there who will accept you for who you are, even with your flaws.

Agreed. I hope you all find that

I think it really depends on what your flaws are

Yep.

Honestly I tend to find the people who find my annoying annoying.

So while in a work-setting I make an effort, I don't try especially hard out of it. There are enough people who like me that I don't feel the need to work to impress people I don't even like.

This is true for me too.

They take things too damn personal.

And I don't mean like I'm going around insulting them or even running my mouth, but if I accidentally interrupt them (ADD powers, activate! For the record I do try to not do this and always apologise when I catch myself, but for some people it doesn't matter) or fail to maintain full eye contact while talking to them (I can be shy as heck), they get all butt hurt as if I had told them to go f*ck themselves.

It's like, buddy? There are not enough hours in the day for this nonsense.
