Well, it's not so much a dilemma, and more of a confusion.
I work two jobs. One is Walmart, and one is Pizza Hut. I'm full time at Walmart, and very part time at the Hut because they have to schedule me around Wally World. My management loves me there though and have talked about having me as a manager if I had more availability. Yesterday, our area coach said he wants me to be the assistant store manager. It's a 30k salary, which isn't bad at all for a 22 year old, but I'd obviously have to quit Walmart. I like Pizza Hut more and I truly think I can excel farther there than Walmart, because my store barely recognizes hard work and almost never promotes unless you're the biggest suck up ever.Still, I'll feel bad leaving the store because of the other employees, and fear they'll look down on me for "choosing pizza hut" even though it's a great opportunity!

I remember reading about a guy starting out as a pizza delivery guy. He made his way up to management and eventually bought the store. Then another. Then another.

He's a multimillionaire now.
Not bad for a high school drop out.

Get it in writing that they want you for the ASM job. Pin them down so you don't get screwed- just in case.

This.

Don't worry about what your Walmart coworkers think- - do what is best for your career and best for your happiness.

Plus you could still work part time at Walmart if your schedule allows and you want to.

Thanks for the advice, guys! You're very right. I've already told them I won't quit Walmart until the ASM position is for sure. I plan on cornering my boss during my next shift so we can talk about the job, lol.
