So as you all know, I started at my local Taco Bell just under a month and a half ago. To start with, i only worked two- maybe three- days a week. Each shift was only three hours because I was training. Apparently I'm done training now. By Monday I will have worked five days this week. Tuesday was three hours, yesterday was four, today was SEVEN. Where did that gap even come from?? Needless to say, as this was my first longer shift, I'm tired as hell.

You go mo' money, but also mo' problems. Such is the life.

Yeah, I like the money part. i need to find shoes that don't make my feet hurt though! And I need to find a way to make my back hurt a little less.

Some good insoles will help on both counts!

The most comfortable nonslips I've ever had are fila work shoes.
I've tried the cheap(er) ones from payless and walmart, shoes for crews. Those hurt and last maybe six months. Skechers and New Balance are more expensive and slightly more comfortable and may last a year.
But my filas have lasted almost 18 months and are still comfortable. Plus, with kohl's cash, they were like $20.
But they're usually ~$45

I miss taco bell. But I don't miss being on my feet all day.

Just hope you don't have any 14 hour shifts!

I like working, and I actually generally enjoy what I do. I mean, the people I work with are creeps or morons or both but it's fine, lol. I wouldn't mind a long shift so much if I didn't get so achy. But to be honest with you, it's mostly because I've been an athlete all my life, and also helped my dad with a lot of construction-isn work like roofing, concrete mixing/pouring, etc.

Taco Bell is always complete poo. One guy got pissed at me because I couldn't hear him ordering- I thought he and his pals were still deciding. And another guy got on my ass about never having enough cheese on the tacos. Like, bitch, I don't even make the damn food. Get on someone else's ass about it.

People that are dicks to food workers are so beyond stupid and the worst.

I also don't understand people who complain about getting consistently bad service/food/whatever but who keep coming back.

Bitch, if you don't like the tacos, go somewhere else then.
