I've been making it a goal to watch a movie at least once a week to have some time just set aside for me to kick back and enjoy myself.

Tonight I watched 10 cloverfield lane and loved it! I nearly had an anxiety attack. I was biting my nails, pulling my hair, and moaning to my husband!

The other night I watched manchester by the sea and felt that gut wrenching feeling and the sadness where it hurts the back of your throat.

These were either really good movies to stimulate feelings or I am totally sensory deprived when it comes to a good story.

You can give me ideas on what to watch next! I don't like knowing -anything- going into a movie. (Except for maybe the genre)

Have you seen The Theory of Everything? Eddie Redmayne is Stephen Hawking and I really, really liked that movie.

Yes! I liked it a lot. I love Stephen hawking, so I was really excited when it came out.

I even read A Brief History of Time after watching that movie and really liked it, too! I need to read more of Hawking's books, he's great at explaining things.

I love when he ends his sentences with an exclamation point when he's making a joke!

I feel obligated to ask if you've seen The Aviator now.

He really is, and has such great quotes that just make perfect sense and also make you think.
Such a brilliant mind, I feel lucky to live in the same time as him. Our future generations will admire him.

I have seen it, a few years ago. I watched it solely because of your praise and I really enjoyed it! I love Leo.

YES

I knew you were good people.

Is 10 Cloverfield Lane a sequel to Cloverfield?

(I've never seen either)

I'm on a big historical drama kick right now. Frost/Nixon was the last one I watched that was new to me. (After that, I had to re-watch All the President's Men because it's just so good!)

Oh man, I liked Cloverfield even though it was the shaky found footage crap.
1 month ago - Thursday 2/16/17 - 10:09:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, that is why I didn't see it, tbh. I'm not usually too too bad with motion sickness (my mom has an AWFUL time), but found footage stuff is almost always too much for me.

I am shopping for a new vehicle (used) and actually tempted to get a mini van.

I have a few in mind that are in my price range and look like they have decent miles, etc

2008 mercury mountaineer
2009 Honda CR-V
2010 Honda Odyssey

I am really leaning towards the mountaineer because I just liked the way it looked and drove.

I think that's an SUV.

I can't reveal anything about 10 cloverfield lane without spoiling so I am going to say, I don't know.

Yeah I know! That's the one I'm leaning towards. The Honda odyessy is the van. I liked the sliding doors because of the kids. But I uggggh hate mini vans.

I would also call that an SUV.

Never known anyone who owned a Mountaineer, but I've had friends who had CR-Vs and Odysseys. The only thing I would say is that Hondas are more known for longevity than Mercurys (which are just re-branded Fords, afaik).

(This is a Honda crv)

This is the type of van

Haha yeah, that is for sure a Mom Van!

No shame in that, but the Mercury is definitely the best-looking of the three.

I know nothing about vehicles and my husband doesn't either. We just have to have a second vehicle again. I have been stuck when he is at work unless I drop him off/ pick him up.

I'm in the opposite camp.

As I see it, mini-vans are for women who are honest about the fact that they are soccer moms. SUVs are for people who think they're cooler than soccer moms despite living in a HOA and never taking their SUV anywhere more rugged than Whole Foods, basically people who will drop a couple extra thousand to pretend they aren't soccer moms.

NOOOOO
1 month ago - Thursday 2/16/17 - 10:28:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
The crv is the smallest. Both the van and the mountaineer have 3 rows.

We don't plan on more children (actually had a big talk about that and want to get permanent birth control.... after almost dying and the terrible pregnancy I had I am not going to risk anything. My girls are enough!)

But we are already starting sports / baseball this year and I can imagine needing more room for gear etc.

We love camping too. 4 door basic cars aren't enough anymore.
