So, it's been a decent while since I've actually been on YouThink to use it, comment, or update my profile and whatnot, and I figured today was as good a day as any other. For those of you who know me from when I first joined and you "subscribed" to me, there've been a few changes in my life recently. Back at the end of August/beginning of September, things were becoming a little stale between my Black Panther and myself (in that he hadn't spoken to me for a month, and wouldn't touch me the month beforehand), and the week before school started up, I found my inbox contained a message from him - - effectively breaking up with me. Which was fine, I had figured we would break up once we spoke again. The email, though, that was a little irksome. Well, since then I've had multiple illnesses (sinus infection, bronchitis, flu, and H1N1... yay. XD) and yet seem to have acquired a new IRL Mate! |

I know it isn't all that important to all of you, but I figured I might as well give that little update.
The "new" one is a Red Panda (fursona) and I've known him for the past five-six years; he's been just about my best male friend. And he likes both my Wolf and myself, and we're all rather pleased ATM.
So yes, that's my update. "Yay"?
Hope you all have been having a decent life whilst I've been gone (at the least), and I hope you continue to do so!

His fursona. It's how I refer to them online. Or for the "Wolf", I'd say "Orphius"/"Orph", since he uses that name online, and the "Red Panda" uses the name "Xavyn" when online. The "Black Panther" uses "Natron". But I tend to refer to them by their fursonas, instead.
And yeah, basically. |

Fursonas are anthropomorphic personifications of animals. Put more simply, it's like Disney's "Robin Hood" characters. They're "animals with human characteristics". Used by the furry fandom most often, but used by others as well. It's an alter-ego, or alter-"persona", but because they're animalistic and used by the furry fandom, the word "fur" is stuck at the beginning. It's like if you were to say you have an animal spirit. These are the animals certain people associate with most, and they become a "character" of the person.
Not sure if I'm really explaining this all that well, at all, but still... I'm trying to.
Basically it's just a character that is based off of you and takes the form of either a feral (four-legged, full-animal) or a furry (anthro). That's the simplest I can put it. |
