So I just get up, a bit late cuz it's the first day off I've had in ages, and there are a ton of texts on my phone from the middle of the night. So I called my sister and found out the deal ... my stepbrother's new wife, so kind of my stepsister, tried to kill herself last night. She took a bunch of pills, wrapped her rings up for my stepbrother and wrote him a note and her parents a note, then went to sleep. He came home to find her seizing on the couch - she had 7 seizures just on the way to the hospital. So now she's in a coma in ICU. It's bad enough the doctors have told my stepbro that he has the make the decision to pull the plug if it comes to that but he won't. Neurogolist is coming in a couple hours to see if she has brain waves or whatever, we'll know more then. WTF. I've been pushing her away cuz of her drug use, now I can't stop crying.  |

I know it's easy to feel guilt and blame when something like that happens after you shun someone, but you can't beat yourself up over it. That's counterproductive.

She's freaking crazy. Literally. Well shge says she's schizo and bipolar and has panic attacks and all this stuff but I don't know how much of that is true and how much of that she says to get drugs from doctors. |

She has a virtual pharmacy in her house of crazy, rare drugs I've never heard of and I used to hand out pills to schizophrenics and bipolar patients - I know what they take, but this girl is taking like GHB and stuff. She brags about being able to fake mental illness symptoms to doctors to get what pills she wants. She's even begged me to sell her Xanax before and I was like HELL NO, that's insane. She just turned 20, she's so young and immature and STUPID. I can't believe she has done this.
So still waiting on the neurologist to see what they are going to say. Basically right now they can't tell without an EEG if she's in a coma or just out from all the pills she took. But they pumped her stomach at the hospital and the casings weren't even there - everything had dissolved and gotten into her system by that time. Who knows how this will turn out. WTF. |

Well they just all got called back to the hospital so maybe something is happening, my mom said she'd text me when she hears something. She's at work but her husband (my stepbro's dad) is on his way back to the hospital to talk to the neurologist. There's so many ways it could go - they said she could wake up and be mad she failed at suicide, she could wake up and not remember, or she could wake up and be brain damaged. OR she may not wake up at all but I'm trying not to even think about that option. We were never super close, but I care about her obviously - he never got super close because she's a drug addict and can't get close to people. She's had problems with meth and stuff in the past but my mom said they did a drug panel and didn't find traces of illegal stuff in there. |

Whoever this doctor is precribing her crap, if it's one doctor they should be indicted like Michael Jackson's doctor. My mom said her whole nightstand was all bottles of different pills, she just takes them willy nilly whenever she feels like it. I'd be very curious to know if she was doctor shopping to get drugs or if she got these all from the same doctor. I heard her mom will get drugs for her too...I met her mom at the wedding, she was wearing a business suit with flip flops. If that doesn't say crazy nothing does. Not to joke but that's how I deal with sh*t. This is too heavy. I just hope she didn't mess her brain up but there's a good chance she did.  |

I wonder what activity her EEG shows. The neurologist may perform a few tests to check for brain function. Ice water to the ear was one I recall them doing.
I hope the young woman recovers and finally gets the help she needs. |

Ice water? Oh to shock her? My mom said this morning she touched her arm and she went into another seizure. They said they don't want her to have ANY stimulus for awhile longer.

Well an update, I don't know much but she's awake now but having trouble with words so I don't know how much neurological damage she has. But she's in ICU until she's ready to go to the psych ward. At least she woke up. I was starting to worry that wouldn't happen at all. |

Well I tried to! Ha ... I went to see the MJ movie with my sister. It was eery because it kind of reminds me of this situation - some doctor(s) have been giving an extremely mentally ill and suicidal girl (turns out this is the third time she's done this) all these crazy drugs. She's smart for how stupid she is though - she can fake symptoms and she knows how to manipulate to get the stuff she wants.
So anyway last I heard she was still in ICU but well enough that she's throwing fits. The doctors were right about her waking up and being mad she didn't succeed. It sounds like she's just being crazy, yelling and screaming and stuff. My mom said she left because it was such a crazy scene. Hopefully she gets into that psych ward fast, but in a way I'm glad she's well enough to be throwing fits. My stepbro is PISSED at her. And he has a right to be. |
